I loved reading about the time period. I felt awfully sorry for Hadley though. The book was well written.

I found myself laughing out loud numerous times. I really enjoyed how dysfunctional the family was. It made for a fast and hilarious read. Can't wait for book club tonight to discuss :)

Super enjoyed this book! I don't have brothers or sisters, so it was great to read about the interactions of adult siblings. The ending isn't that typical happy ending that many readers look for in their books, but I would still consider it a happy ending by all accounts. This was a really quick read and I recommend it for the beach. In fact, I read the vast majority of this poolside.

If you ever want to know about tiaras, this is your read! I learned a lot about their history as well as their popularity through the years. Great photographs.

SO HILARIOUS! If you don't love Ross Mathews, then I don't know who you are. This book was a great glimpse into his life. Also, I highly recommend you audiobook it - Ross narrates. If you are looking for hours of laughter, this book is for you.
Lock In by John Scalzi

Wow-what an interesting story. Lock In is squarely in the science-fiction category, which generally isn't my bag. I enjoy some fantasy and of course the teenage vampire and magic things - but I usually steer clear of hard science-fiction. Lock In was recommended to me by audible so I thought I would give it a whirl. LOVED IT! You don't have to know a lot about science to enjoy it, but there are some technical/computing aspects to the plot. If you read The Martian and enjoyed it, you would likely enjoy this. It isn't about space, like the Martian, but both books have about the same amount of scientific plot points.

This was a great follow up novella to Lock In by John Scalzi. This brief history of the disease that was central in Lock In gave some great back story and insight into how the Lock In universe came to be.
