Definitely better than the previous book👍🏻. The plot was superb, the characters were well written as well.

I really like Michelle is a character, such a badass FBI officer. It is unlikely to meet her again in the series, but *cross fingers* hopefully, she would appear in the series again.

Hunter was superb, like always. The dilemma he faced towards the end... wow... I honestly would've froze. Gracia, as always a very reliable partner even when he was tested to the limit.

The plot itself was so good, it centered around choice and fate.
How one's choice would affect others. How one can make the right choices yet somehow it doesn't matter because sometimes life just sucks. Honestly, it got me thinking about it. And Gracia, I have this feeling that he wouldn't return to RHD <\spoiler>

My 5th book by Chris Carter, and I'm in love with all the books so far. Unfortunately, this book is my least favourite. The crime scenes are as gruesome as they can be, but the plot was pretty draggy.

Another great book! Phew, what a storyline. We followed Detective Hunter and Gracia journey as they tries to uncover a sadistic crime. What was the motive? Crime of passion? Crime of revenge? Or was it a crime done by a monster?

4.75 stars just because I don't feel that it's a 5 🤷🏻‍♀️. Do check trigger warnings before reading this book.

Third book by Chris Carter, and I'm still amazed with his writing style. As always, the plot and characters are well written. I love seeing how the partnership between Detective Hunter and Gracia getting more personal. The crimes are as always damn *chef kiss* gory.

Definitely recommended to those who enjoy reading psychological thriller books. But! Before reading, do search up on the trigger warnings.

Another awesome book by Chris Carter. Unfortunately, it's got dragged a little bit towards the end (Well, at least for me.). The plot was definitely interesting, there are twists and turns that I wouldn't see them coming. The characters are awesome.

However, my favourite main villain is still Lucien. 😅
I honestly didn't expect Isabella aka Brenda to be the main villain of this book 🤣. But, it did make sense to, and damn, how she injected herself smoothly into Detective Robert's life never cease to amaze me. However, Brenda's crimes are damn gory too if not they are as gory as Lucien's

Finished this book in 2.9 hours and in one sitting! What a great book, I honestly didn't expect the twists and turns throughout the book. I was hooked from the first page till the end. The plot and the characters are well written, I could picture them vividly in my mind. That can only be done when the book are well executed. I will definitely read other books written by the author.
