The writing was done well. It was definitely emotional. The topics are hard and make you uncomfortable which I think was the authors point. The prologue showing the romantic interest with main characters being so young threw me off. This is a me issue not the authors fault. Check your triggers. I typically don’t have any and while there was no on screen things that would fall under my one big I thought I’d be ok with the off screen mentions…. I wasn’t. Again this is not the author or the books fault.

A rushed version of there are no saints. Not enough build up for me to connect. The FMC reaction to finding out her love interest is a serial deleter was less emotional than her finding out he was her favorite artist? She’s just like yea ok cool and moves on. The friends were not exactly friends but her reaction to their deaths was non existent. The spice was the best part everything else left much to be desired unfortunately

While I saw the twist coming it was still an easy read. My first book by this author. Some of the parts are rushed and could use a little more development. Good chemistry between the characters. A little too much going on with the pacing leaving a little to be desired. Will give this author another read.
