I have seen the original movie and the new musical movie adaptation. I have seen the revival of The Color Purple on Broadway. I have performed in the musical at a local community theatre in Carmel, IN. I finally read the novel and my love for this story has deepen. There was trauma through this book, but continued to shine through and never die is the LOVE!!!! BEAUTIFUL! "Look What God Has Done.....AMEN!"

There were some gross out chapters, especially when the character Geraldine comes in the picture with her backstory. Most disgusting, disturbing and pure evil character I have ever encountered. Overall, it kept me engaged and couldn't stop listening till the very end. if violence towards children don't mix well with you, AVOID IT! Not for the faint of heart.

This story was gripping from start to finish. Holly Gibney is such a fleshed out, outstanding fictional character, who is simply smart and badass. Loved the plot! Loved the diversity of characters. Loved the twists and turns. This was a THRILL ride. Anyone is capable of such evil regardless of age and this novel shows. Elderly couple from HELL!! Ruthless, homophobic, racist, pyschodic.....that couple was pure evil. Stephen King knocked this one out of the park, in my opinion. πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ

Baxter is BACK in this follow-up novel to Ragdoll, which was executed EXTREMELY well. So fast-paced and thrilling from start to finish. The narration is AMAZING!! Very good with a variety of character variation choices. Looking forward to listening to the third installment of the series. 😍😁

I couldn't wait for this story to be over. This story was not engaging. Did not care about any of the characters. This was not scary at all. The narration was terrible. Waste of time. Periodt!

I had high hopes, but this was not groundbreaking. I didn't feel or care about what happened to the characters. The plot was not engaging like I would have hoped. The twist was lackluster. This was a one and done for me. Overall, I was not impressed, which is unfortunate. I was hoping that it would be really good, but the story was meh. I couldn't wait for it to end. This book will be forgotten.
