Cosy, sweet, spicy, romantic, k!nky I absolutely had a blast. I know the theme is Christmas and it's currently Easter, but I'm currently obsessed with Chloe Maine and binging all her novellas that are part of the Conception Ridge. And LOL, the joke is on us, because baby there's br33ding k!nk in all of them so far.

For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten
This was beautifully written, lyrical and imaginative. The fairy tale reimagined was nice and certainly hit my Red gets with the Wolf of the forest fantasy. I like the few side characters.
I do feel less engaged by her sister, and hero of the second book in the duology, Neve.

Spends her days training to be a soldier, afternoons as a lady of the court, and nights sneaking out of her secure palace to thieve on the trade trains that travel between her protected city and the cities beyond. One night, following some unpleasant news, she goes on one more mission on a trade train that leads to her capture by the fae and she finds herself in the feared fae prison Halalhaz.

It gives serious Divergent - Dauntless house vibes, and the chemistry between the main two characters in this book is just smooookinnn'.

Fire Night by Penelope Douglas

Christmas episode! This is a cute little novella happening few years after the events of the series and it's a really cute little way to give us a glimpse of how the lives of the heroes of the Devil's Night Series are going... there is still suspense and Darkness few nods to the loose ends of the previous books. There is little to no Spice in this it's more like a Christmas episode and murder mystery all in one short little novella. I actually would love to read more about the children and their story in the future so I hope P Douglas as planning to write more that happened in the same universe.

18 + contemporary Romance. Taboo sort of because the main character develops a relationship with her boyfriends father. Age gap. Daddy. Forbidden fruit. Really well written but that's no surprise with Penelope! I found the main character way too relatable especially considering her relationship with her boyfriend... stand alone book. There is some spice like 3 out of 5 spice rating. Overall cute story despite the questionable nature of the relationship. Entertaining easy read.
