Lots of fun, though I liked the first book a tiny bit more. Can't wait for the next one!

Very enjoyable; I liked the premise a lot and can't wait for the next book!

3.5 stars. Intriguing post-apocalyptic murder mystery. Another review compared it to Station Eleven, and it did remind me of that book as well.

Liked the Hungarian element, interesting concept of magic, good supporting characters.

Not very exciting, flat characters.

Fans of the Invisible Library series will not be disappointed! Each book has been better than the last; The Lost Plot includes dragon politics, 1920s hijinks (tommy guns, speakeasies, and gangsters), and Irene's resourcefulness. I was glad I read this over a holiday weekend so I didn't have to worry about other responsibilities, because all I wanted to do was enjoy this story! I'm very much looking forward to book 5, and I dearly hope that Irene and Kai's adventures will continue beyond that. I won an ARC in the Goodreads giveaway (yay!).

Yet another amazing book from Jonathan Stroud. I can't wait to read the next book!

A very satisfying conclusion to the series! All of our heroes get good moments; some mysteries are revealed, but there are enough loose ends to keep you intrigued. I feel like going back and re-reading the whole series, both to look for clues and to enjoy the characters. Jonathan Stroud has created amazing worlds with Bartimaeus and Lockwood - I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
