The setting really drew me in and had me hooked. Sadly, the story stretched out very slowly and I was quite unhappy with the ending. I also didn’t like the two main characters very much and couldn’t connect with them.

While it started of slow, the pace really picked up after the first 100 pages and the second half of the book was truly great. It is told from multiple perspectives and all the different characters link together, which I really loved. I hadn’t heard anything about the book before reading it and that gave me a great experience

I really liked the setting and the first half of this book. The characters were really interesting and the premise really intrigued me. However, the ending sadly fell flat for me

This book was truly great. Second chance romance, slow burn, so many amazing quotes, and of course the beautiful writing made this a very enjoyable read. My only critique is the pacing, sadly most of the “action” happens in the last few chapters and I would have liked to see that be more stretched out.

I was really excited about this book and it did not disappoint! I really love books where the antagonist is the narrator and this is definitely the case here. The pacing was really good, but the first half had me hooked a bit more than the second (still listened to it in 2 days). The ending was a bit complicated to me since I’m not a fan of open endings but it really works here, it just left me wanting a real conclusion. Overall really good book, would totally recommend

Had really high expectations but sadly got disappointed. The way the characters were written just didn’t do it for me and so the story fell kind of flat
