this was truly amazing. All of the characters felt so incredibly real and vulnerable. A lot of the book is (obviously) about video games and surprisingly i really loved that. The story moves rather slow but the amazing characters totally make up for it. I can't really put my feelings into words but i can only recommend it if you enjoy characters that sometimes act the wrong way and whose stories will absolutely hurt you

I did not expect to get my heart broken by a book about a chemist, but it happened. I expected a story about a woman fighting sexism and while that happenend and was beautifully done, there was so much more. There was a lot about mother-daughter relationships and a beautiful love story. I can definetly recommend it, my only issue was that the story really streched in some parts.

i don't have a lot to say about this book, since nothing really stuck with me. I had a good time reading it and especially enjoyed the flashbacks but i did feel like it had a very open ending (which i hate, but that's personal preference). Also remember to check the content warnings.

I love retellings of greek mythology and this was a particularly good one. I really enjoyed the different POV's and I found all the main characters to have a logical motive and they were all very different from each other. My favourite POV was Cassandra's, since her story has always been really interesting to me, and this version of her story was really interesting. I also enjoyed the other two POV's and, of course, the setting. I also liked, how all the main characters were morally grey and none  was a clear heroine(elektra did annoy me in the end). My only issue was the pacing, since the start of the story dragged on for a while.

This was a bit of a weird experience. I read most of it in one sitting, so i was definitely invested in the girls stories, but at the same time a bit bored by all the side characters stories. The way the book was narrated was a bit strange at first but it did make me curious about the girls, so I guess it fulfilled its purpose. The pace of this was pretty slow but I found it manageable. I did like the portrayal of the male gaze, those boys were only in love with the idea of the girls. For example, Lux sent so many signals, that she needed help, but they continued to watch her and ignore them. While I liked that part, others lacked a bit so over all, a very average book to me.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 12%.
I really tried to wrap up the series but I was so bored. The characters that I really liked in the first book just got worse after that and I just didn't care about the plot anymore. I just googled the plot and that did it for me.

Why am I feeling nostalgic about a fake band?
This was not my first time reading this book and I decided to revisit it because I love it and because the series is coming out quite soon. I love everything about this book: the interview form that it's told in, the story, the setting and of course the characters. Even though we follow the members of Daisy Jones & The Six as they tell the story of why they split up while touring, there isn't a huge plottwist to explain that. It is definetly a very character driven book, so not something for everyone. I still think that it can be enjoyed by many people since the writing style is just so addictive and the characters are so amazing. I love how they're all so different and even though they're telling the same story, their memories of certain events don't always match up. Another thing that I adored about this book was, of course, the vibe. That 70's, rock'n'roll feeling was put into such amazing words, and I really got a feel for it. I would definitely recommend the book and think it's a good one to read as your first Taylor Jenkins Reid book, because it is so  impactfull.
This book really has a special place in my heart and everytime I want to feel nostalgic and sad I just read the last few chapters.

It took me a few tries to finish this book, but when I did it was a good experience. I really enjoyed the setting of the "perfect" small town and its residents. I also liked most of the characters and enjoyed the (rather slow) plot. There wasn't much of a plottwist and it was a more character-driven book. I really enjoy Celeste Ng's writing style and I think that I even prefer this book over "Everything I never told you" (still a good book of course). It was a rather slow book but I enjoyed reading it, it just took me some time. My only issues were, that it was hard to keep up the reading (as I said, took me a few tries) and that I really wish that the ending would close up the story a bit more. I saw a review on here that said something like "mediocre beginning, great middle and mediocre ending" and I think that sums it up pretty good. It wasn't outstandingly great to me but still an enjoyable read.

I woud read Taylor Jenkins Reid's grocery list.
I decided to reread this book because it's been almost a year since I first read it and I wanted to return to this story that I love with all my heart. While I usually prefer a plot-driven book over a character-driven one, this one is an exception. I love the Riva siblings and their character development that they go through in both of the timelines. They're all very different but still so connected to each other which I (as an only child) adored. I loved the flashbacks, where we get to see their backstory and at the end of the book I wanted to hug all of them, especially Nina. Another thing I really enjoyed were the little insisghts into the lifes of the people at the party, some of them were so interesting that I would read a whole book about them.
So overall this is an amazing book, one of my favourites of Taylor Jenkins Reid and just overall. I would recommend it to almost everyone, because I think that everyone should read this amazing story with it's amazing characters.
