This was a fast-paced thriller that was pretty good! It was an engaging read, I listened to it as an audiobook and found it hard to stop listening. Didn’t guess the plot twist at the end.
I will say the characters felt a little underdeveloped, but it was on the shorter side and more plot focused. I recommend if you want an easy-to-read thriller book!

I enjoyed this book but it took me a while to get through. Throughout most of The Princess Knight, there aren’t very high stakes until the end. The main characters feel fleshed out BUT there were a bunch of background characters that played into certain plot points in the book where I forgot who they were. I think sizing down the cast of characters would’ve helped.
This was a pretty fun read but I felt it was a bit slow and dragged for some bits. I think it could’ve been shorter or introduced the climax a bit earlier. This could’ve made the ending have a bit more of an impact.
Other than some nitpicks and problems with the pacing, I liked this book. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC! This review is my honest opinion based on my thoughts on the book.
CONTENT WARNING (may have spoilers):Chapter 27 has a fade-to-black scene between two characters. It’s not that descriptive, I would rate it closed door personally.

I loved this show when I was younger and recently finished a re-watch, so when I found out there was a graphic novel set after the events of the finale - I knew I had to read it!
This was such a fun read, the characters felt like how they were in the show and it explored more on the lore. The show was so nostalgic to me and this graphic novel left me feeling the same way! I also heard there will be a sequel, I’ll definitely check that one out too!

I really wanted to try more sci-fi out and this was not the best pick for me. The ending was strange and rushed. Just came out of nowhere and was very uncomfortable to read. The plot just did a total 180 at the end.
I love dogs and love to see strong relationships with pets in books, so when I saw this in a book store I was intrigued by the cover and premise. I did not feel connected to any of the characters really.
For the most part, it’s an okay book. Not my kind of book, but okay. I was able to listen to the book pretty quick as an audiobook and it was pretty engaging until the last part… it just was uncomfortable and wasn’t within the original plot.

*DNF*
I don’t really like to leave reviews for books I DNF, but I got 53% of the way through this book which is the most I’ve gone through one and DNFed.
I don’t hate this book, I can see why people would like it. I was actually really enjoying it for about 30% of it. Then the 30-50% really slowed down and felt repetitive and like the plot was going nowhere. At a certain point I was confused on what the plot was.
I was going to push through but it just felt like… why am I doing that? I think this author has potential, apparently this is a debut novel.
I really don’t like DNFing books. It just wasn’t holding my attention anymore, but I still think others could enjoy it!

This was a pretty engaging and funny book! There wasn’t ever a dull moment and it flew by fast. I did listen to this as an audiobook and I think that helped with my experience! I would continue with the rest of the series.
Also, there is a tv series for it so I would check that out as well!

I also wanted to know more about the main character besides her gift. I will say I think the author did a good job at showing how the calculating gift is used like in every day situations which made it more believable.
I also wanted to like Kai, the main love interest, but I feel towards the end it fell somewhat flat to me and a bit too rushed for my taste.
I might… check out the next book because the ending was a pretty good twist but I just did not feel that connected to this book like I wanted to be. I had to switch to an audiobook about halfway through to feel a bit more connected which somewhat helped.
Apparently this is being adapted into a movie, so that’s cool. I would check it out.
