I read Tear in Reality as an ARC this is my honest opinion.
If you're new to the urban fantasy genre this would be a good easy read to start with. It has all the classic bits of an Urban fantasy.
I wasn't aware it was a YA series when I first picked it up but that's ok. The book has a diverse cast and follows our MCs on a perilous journey. To solve the murders before they become the next targets.
I liked that it was the supernatural teens learning that there were worse things that "go bump in the night" than themselves. It was a fun twist on a very standard urban fantasy plot point.
The world building is wonderful and easy to follow, the magic and different supernatural beings are explained in an easy to follow way. My only complaint is that I didn't find the FMC's love interest to be believable. I think the story would have been just as good if not better without the romance angel.

The Fated Ones is the debut novel of author Kennedi Morgan. It follows our main character Nessa and is told through a triple POV of Nessa, Skye, and Marcus.
This was a fast paced, well written story of medium level fantasy. It was a unique take on Shifters as a whole; though our primary focus was on Dragon shifters and Wolf shifters. Add in a dash of Fae and a whole lot of angst and you’ve got this book.
As for the romance aspect, it's messy for sure. But we like it that way. It's fated mates/chosen mates, childhood friends to lovers, strangers to lovers to enemies, romantasy that will keep you guessing and have you rooting for your favorite love interest until the very end. You should also be prepared for tears. I wasn’t expecting to have a good cry by the end of this book but I did.
Overall a 4/5 star read and like a 2/5 spice level
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Excuse me while I drool over my new demon dommy mommy cause um...YES PLEASE!
Ok but seriously this novella is freaking amazing. I love Elle's personality and how she's just so gosh darn flirty, sexy, caring, and so much more. Her more our going personality pairs so well with our shy nerdy MMC too.
Shane is definitely a cutie. We love a cute nerdy DnD, magic loving, consent king. At least I do if you don't you need your head examined just sayin'.
Anyway getting to watch this romance play out was amazing and now I'm beyond hyped for the main course of this series. With parents like these the MMC of the next book is bound to be amazing.

I have never been so in love with a MMC than I am with Max! He's a literal cininiamon roll but also spicy as hell. Like where do you find irl men like this?!
Ok, but in all seriousness I loved this book. Mona was a little too relatable but that's not a bad thing. It just might mean taking a look in the mirror after reading this book. If you love Mona you gotta love yourself too babes. <3
There was soooooooo much spice and so many good scenes if you're a fan of dark romance but also want a sweet love interest this is the perfect blend of the two.
Must Read if you enjoy:
Spicey Romance
He falls first
Primal/ and CNC scenes
Rep includes:
BIPOC characters
LGBTQIA Characters
Mental Health
BDSM/K-ink

This was an amazing tale of first love, betrayal, vulnerability, and learning to trust.
Becca and Derrick are easy to fall in love with. The dual timeline worked so well in this story to show you just how their story came to be. You get to see them fall in love even while they are dealing with the fallout from Becca's betrayal. It had me rooting for them the whole time. I'm glad it wasn't a completely happy ending. There's something to be said for bittersweet endings.
I loved that the author made the story take place in the 80's and that they included so many references to different music and cultural events that would have taken place during that time.
I received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

I will forever be an Xavier fangirl! #teamxavier babies! (OK now that I relived my teens for a sec reminiscent of the edward/Jacob days lol)
V.L Summers does an amazing job at keeping you hooked with this paranormal romance, Why choose novel.
I love that our FMC isn't a child! She kicks butt, solves crime, is a single parent, and somehow still manages to have a romantic life.
I have so much more to say, but I can't possibly fit it all here, so check out my full review at fayesbooksandbrews.com/blog
