This felt so deeply resilient and the community & shared/similar and yet vastly different stories and experiences amongst these pages made me pretty emotional.

I think this book is a fun concept, and a really cute idea and the relationship in here was fun; there was just a lot that felt not flushed out enough in the world, & character motivations that felt a little confusing and silly to me. The pacing also kinda fell off around the 30% mark

So pleasantly surprised by all of the queer rep in this! This was cute & educational. Most of the stories were fantastical/speculative & they included important themes, like injustice, as well as representations of cultural and religious folklore. I felt this collection weaved a nice tapestry of the diversity and resilience of Palestinians
Dnf 22% in, it’s a cute idea and vibe but it feels very juvenile in tone & it giving me no time to breathe

I love these characters & this cozy little witchy small town. This mystery was so much fun to pick apart as well. Truly these books feel like cuddling up with some tea and a fuzzy blanket to the practical magic soundtrack & I love it here.
My rating not quite being a 4 is mostly due to the story not feeling as strong in this one. It hit a point where I kind of just wanted it to end & was mostly skimming. That being said, I loved the reveal to the mystery in this one & then that ending??????? Was wild??? Book 3 when?????????????

I loved this one much more than the first instalment & I’m so happy I continued! Mosscap and Dex’s dynamic is so fun & I love all of the intricate conversations they have. Also Mosscap is so deeply Wall-E coded & I love them.

I feel like I would have loved this when I was 16 while scrolling on Tumblr in 2015 & Skins (UK) plays in the background. POV my favourite books in my youth were Looking for Alaska, The Perks of Being A Wallflower, & Milk and Honey
DNF 25% in, I wanted to love this so bad because this premise is awesome, but I’m honestly just bored
