Muscles & Monsters by Ashley Bennett

The dialogue in this felt cringe at times, but overall this was a good little low stakes monster romance. I did laugh a few times at the start of the book, so it was decent. Might read the next book in this series.

I'm still not sure that I liked this one. We'll have to see how the second volume pans out. But right no I just think it's okay.

I love it when two conniving unhinged people get together and just become utterly obsessed with one another. I think Part 2 of this book really surprised me and I did not see it coming, so it was really fun to watch everything unfold there. I really do this and could feel that these two were mates. I had so much fun with this one. A standalone romantacy is not something you can always find so I'm so happy I got to experience that! Some of the things that I didn't love was how young the characters were when we met them, but I do understand why we needed to set the scene with these two. I also thought their banter came across a little corny at the start but the writing grew on me quickly and the plot had me invested in seeing what came next.

This plot felt utterly unhinged! I was definitely intrigued by this story and found everything going on pretty wild and entertaining. These two are sick and unhinged whites doing what the whites can do with little to no consequence. I didn't love this one, but it was very entertaining. I enjoyed seeing these two freaks be dark as fuck.

A lot of the story felt quite slow and didn't have as much intrigue. The ending did kind of make up for what sometimes felt like a slog of a read.

This was the perfect little thriller. I felt like their emotions in the first 40% about having an open relationship felt so real. I knew something was off with the both of them and I could tell what was going on but the twist still felt satisfying. I'll be reading the next one for sure.

This was really good. Definitely a step up from the last book. The plot was great. Their back stories were interesting and the push and pull here really made sense. I enjoyed this one a lot.

I already know my ass is going to be in a reading slump after this one. So fucking deeply romantic. I just loved these two so much. I wished this had been dual POV but even still this was incredible. I laughed, I cried, I swooned...just yes. This is what I've been looking for here. I loved this so much. I think this might be a top read for the year. I already can't wait to read it again. Still crying! ðŸ˜

I just don't feel like I should finish this. The hints of racism just kept popping up and I yeah..hmm

This was mid. I didn't love the romance. The storyline was definitely interesting. I just don't have much of anything to say here. Sex was hot lol.
