Manipulation, cults, and confusion? Most of the questions that are posed in this story are never answered. It was more than a little disappointing. I found the main character annoyingly naive and SLOW. She was the only person who was clueless throughout the story even though the author threw COUNTLESS clues to her. This felt like a lot of half-baked ideas that were never fully fleshed out.

I liked this. Female version of the cliche alpha-wolf storyline. Which I love. Great character illustrations.

This was an interesting read. Definitely a dated read. Could use a modern revision. Not altogether boring.

This is a story in three parts. Part 2 and 3 are far less interesting. I didn't hate it. It was a predictable storyline. You can tell the author has never been around real children or real educators lol.

I really enjoyed the illustrations and the use of color to characterize the important characters in this story. I was expecting something a little different from the plot, but I don't hate where the author took it. It's different, fresh, and I'm looking forward to reading the next volume.

Phenomenal story from a phenomenal author. Definitely requires a second read. Beautifully articulated characters.

Okay, I really didn't hate this book. I think overall I was a bit bored. I tried to get into but found myself wanting to read other books instead.

Dark, tense, reflective. This book gives a realistic interpretation of the nearly possible future where women are suddenly the ones with the physical upper-hand in society and culture. I loved reading this. It perfectly encapsulates the many experiences that women all around the world experience every day.

Great book! I started and then stopped. By the time I picked it back up to finish it, I felt like the info wasn't really relevant to me or my situation anymore. So I didn't finish.

Okay, so I actually really like this book. It's well written and highly detailed. But it is THICK. And I'm just not at a point in my life where I want to commit to reading a 600 page high fantasy novel with some sex in it. Maybe I'll read it another time?
