I had a fine time reading this book and gore elements are a little bit new to me. I did take issue with some things that I can’t really get past like the use of terms mother-and-son and other references to describe relationships. Just pushed the boundary a little too much for me to be comfortable with it. 

The writing was very good, but there was something missing for me. I will not be reading the next in the series.

So emotional, funny, and cute! I laughed out loud several times when I wasn’t crying. Loved that these characters were adults in their thirties! 

I could totally see this as a mini series in the future.

 I felt like this book was a little hard to get into. The beginning really dragged for me. Just like the first one, after page 300, I was super invested. I do wish we had more insight into Ravyn and Elspeth at the end since the focus really shifted from them in this book to Elm, Ione, and the nightmare. Not complaining at all, everything was so juicy, but the ending for them just had me wanting a little more.

I just could not understand one thing I read. I had to go so slow to understand anything, the flow was not really there for me.
