"I appreciate the elevation to deity, but my name will do."
I thoroughly enjoyed this! I was sucked in completely and I could barely stop thinking about this story when diving into another book.
I really liked how some of the world building was done by Violet telling these things as a way of calming down. It made sense for her to know those things!
Some absolutely heartbreaking situations and some people getting exactly what they deserved, I love it
I loved the relationships between everyone and especially snarky Tairn made me so happy. I can't wait to see what's coming up!
“I have loved you every moment of my eternal life, Adeline. I never meant to forget you.”
This was a really nice read for me!
I enjoyed how I got to learn so much about the characters and their past around the end, when it became relevant to the plot.
I personally love the "us vs the world" type of love stories and that's what I got!
The spice sure was spicing and as quite usual, vampires and some violence go hand in hand here.

I enjoyed this a lot!
Everything definitely felt believable to me, which I can really appreciate when reading something other than fantasy.
It really highlights how much we all think to know about the lives of celebrities and how wrong we can be. They can sell us almost any story and we feel entitled to dig in to every little detail of their personal lives.
Evelyn is quite a lady, even I started seeing her as a celebrity and the road to and throughout her success sure wasn't an easy one to live. It's always heartbreaking to be reminded of all the struggles we go through as minorities.
I really liked how Evelyn and Monique's stories tie together and hearing Evelyn's experience gives her insight to her own life.

Received an ARC for an honest review
This has everything I love in a short story! I love the main characters' relationship and how their stories meet.
I fell in love with Heather and Revan, both individually and together. I need a full book or a series eith them!
I'm a sucker for some nice twists and this one delivered exactly what I like.
There was some spice, and it was not quite as remarkable regarding the story as in the others I've read from the Bound by Blood series. It was nicely written, but this time I was a bit more sucked in to the plot itself, which is great imo, because the story can carry itself even without the spice!

Super spicy FFM love and vampires? Well, here we have it!
I liked the plot, and was glad to see how well it was kept together for a novella. The beginning had a bit of infodumping, but not too much imo. Just one part I absolutely didn't understand:
whyyy fuck in the middle of an attack? And there's astill time to shower then too?
The spice was steamy and the trio's dynamic was just what I loved!
The writing was quite difficult for me to follow, I kept feeling like I missed something in almost all the scenes but couldn't figure it out rereading those parts. But with english not being my first language and me being used to reading much more straightforward things it was very much an issue based on my side. I think I'll try reading this again later, hoping to understand better why I had such a difficult time with it 😅

Overall, I loved the whole story.
I was able to see the twists coming from a mile away, but in this it was just nice and I enjoyed not being so surprised by every single thing. Because of seeing the clues as to what is really happening, Elsie's ability to not notice them or jump to conclusions did sometimes annoy me a lot, but I also understand why she would do that and how it was needed for the character and story!
I really loved how Elsie grew during the book and how people took accountability for their own actions, as adults should!
Cece is an absolute star throughout the book and everyone needs to be a Cece to their friends!
The spice got me amazed, it was written SO WELL. Just make sure y'all ALWAYS clean up after.. No yeast infections over here please.
I really wished there was more of the trio (Elsie, Jack & Greg) hanging out. They are fun together.

I was promised an adventure and that sure was delivered, but goodness gracious the stupidity of these characters was so difficult to endure.
I was debating if I could really handle any more of these characters jumping through hoops to convince their plans are reasonable.
The ending was satisfying though, so I think it was kind of worth it in the end! But I still don't think the POSSIBILITY of a treasure is worth actively endangering your own life in various ways.
I really liked the plot twist with Bradley and tbh the 'Lost Boys' were definitely written well as reddit guys. I just despise people like them. Glad they got what was coming for them, and the story would feel very empty without these infuriating guys.

I was lucky to get an ARC!
This story isn't for readers that don't care for some spice. Definitely check the content warnings before reading this!!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Vampires and wlw? Absolute win for me!!
I got to experience absolute heartbreak and fall in love with incredible women in such a short time.
Jesse really grew on me during the story and I just loved the joy of queer love.
Some of the dialogue from side characters felt a little goofy to me, like they're explaining out loud things from their shared history that the listening party would understand without saying. So half a star off for that.
I enjoyed the plot and even though as a novella, the story is short, I managed to really get in to the story and world of it!

"Your blindness now doesn't wipe out all your years of refusing to see"
What an absolutely beautiful story of finding home when you're not sure what counts and doing what you can to reconcile things you regret. A beautiful reminder to keep in touch with the people you love!
Aimee's husband is just such a star. The way he supports her unconditionally in some of the hardest times of her life and goes above and beyond instead of doing the bare minimum.
The ways Aimee realized how westernized she had become but still let herself enjoy them if they mattered to her really spoke to me. It's not very easy to be multicultural, especially when you might love something from this "new" culture but it clashes with what you or your parents have been raised with. As someone with a parent from South Asia but born and raised in Europe, these are 100% things I experience.
I will definitely carry this story in my heart with incredible warmth. There are so many lessons to learn and everything was written so beautifully.
Re-read review:
This story hit just as hard the second time as it did the first.
I'm in love with the writing and characters. Aimee is still very relatable to me with feeling disconnected from her roots and realizing her memories of specific moments are very different from what the others in those memories remember.
I recognize myself in Aimee's struggle of going back years later, to find out how much that place has changed. Things always stay the same in your head until you're reminded that life goes on even if you're not present.
I love how Aimee rediscovers her connections to her past and makes them a bigger part of her life and identity again. I also adore her husband for learning and working on it with her.
