A Thrilling tale about forbidden love, storm chasing, and tornado daddies. yeah, you heard that right! tornado Daddy. this is a hilarious romance, full of a whirlwind romance that blows others right out of the water! filled with hilarious banter, terrible puns, and amazing voice actors that really breathe life into the characters that your just going to love! if you loved the movie Twister, then this is absolutely a book your going to want to read, especially with all the steamy scenes. and I do mean steamy! not to mention some of the most amazing tornado descriptions, and the feeling of the thrill of the chase, and the adrenaline pumping hunt for the perfect storm. a delight to read, and even more of a delight to listen to!

If your a fan of Howls moving castle, then you HAVE to read this book! it's grim dark, intense, filled with horrifically beautiful settings that will give you chills, and leave you in awe. a dark telling of what really happens when a sorcerer steals your heart. it's very much an adult tale, filled with a morbid humor, and paired well with flawed and brilliant characters who you will adore, and in the case of the antagonists, hate. between the world building, the magic system, and the ending, this book is going to be an absolute obsession. an almost cozy horror blended with a dark fairy tale twist and heavy ghibli vibes, this is a definite must read!

A stunning, unique, and beautiful cozy fantasy! I've read a lot of books in the last year, but none quite so charming as this one! with beautiful imagery,  an exciting mystery, a touch of morbidity, and a cast of delightfully wonderful characters! the worldbuilding is amazing, and gives off feelings like howls moving castle, or Arietty. soothing, beautiful scenes filled with an array of plants, dragons, and snark mixed in with a surprising amount of low risk action. if your a fan of gardening, dragons, and magical mysteries, this is a book for you!a charming humor, a light hint of romance, and newfound friends, awaits!

Another thrilling adventure in the gaslamp Fantasy series "The Gwen St. James Affair!" i think this is my favorite book so far of the entire series. technically a standalone, we get to see very deep insights into the Cutthroat King, and get to see a new angle from the fourth book in the main series! i never expected to love the cutthroat King as much as i do now, but man was it amazing! with the beautiful prose we've come to expect from Nicole McKeon, we also get to see how the underbelly of New London really works, and the lengths that the King will go to protect it. with enemies to lovers, touch her and die, mafia romance and yet another baddass female main character, i highly, highly recommend everyone read this book!

a post apocalyptical adventure, a teenage romance, and the struggle to stay save, stay alive all coalesce into an amazing, unique story. a girl who cannot move on and a girl who cannot stay put, both circling around each other as they both try to survive in a world where resources are slim, and people are rare. a coming of age adventure that starts out surprisingly cozy, until it speeds up into a train wreck waiting to happen. secrets might tear these two lovebirds apart... if the storm that is coming doesn't do it first. it only gets worse when those secrets could very well risk the minimal safety they have left.

this book made me gasp, cry, and cringe. the author doesn't shy away from the grim reality of a world after everything else has gone to shit. of injuries, of fights, of attempting to stay safe. of doing everything you can to find food, and learning to trust another person even when your not so sure you should. a heartwarming tale of learning to love... and a nail biting journey of trying to protect what little you have left.

If you thought The Tainted Cup was good, wait until you read a Drop of Corruption! This is even better than the first, with a whole new crime to be solved, all knew threats to be handled, all new suspects to investigate. only this time, the person they hunt, is even smarter than Ana. the twists and turns made me dizzy, but at the end, i was able to look back and see all the breadcrumbs laid out before me. i delighted in all the new things I've learned about the world, the history and the people. looking into the secrets that Ana keeps, the hints of her origins, i am already dying for book three! it's an amazing read, and one of my absolute favorites! I've read The Tainted cup three times already, and this is definitely going to be going on my re-read roster as well!

This book had me at the edge of my seat, chewing my nails, and screaming bloody murder!!! I threw my kindle, I cried, i gasped, and at the very last page, i leapt to my feet and cursed the author!!!!

All that to say, this is, in my fine opinion, a book even better than the first!!! and given my absolute obsession with the first book, that's saying a lot!!! it's hard to leave a review here without filling the page with spoilers but let me tell you, this is a book series well worth reading! there are betrayals, there are allies, there are secrets! (there is a LOT of spice). we learn so much about the Galen del Mora, even more about Sadie and Hector and the way the wolf packs work and at the very end, your left absolutely desperate for more.

A brilliant education on the history of whiskey, or is it whisky? find out within these pages the strange history of it's name, the long and many years of bootlegging from Ireland and Scotland, to the American prohibition. thousands of years of insanely unfair taxation, the fight to make it, the fight to sell it, and the fight to drink it, and fight they do! from Whisky's effect on pop culture, to the way it tastes, to a band that plays their song to effect the flavor, this book has everything you could ever want to know about the water of life, acqua vitae and how it stamped it's mark on history from buccaneers, to the American revolution and beyond.

what is the difference between a Promise, and Fate? one you choose, the other is thrust upon you, but both can ruin everything. Does a promise still count if you cannot remember it? the Gods of Fate, Destiny and Promise are all going to ensure they get their dues, and if it breaks the world in the process so be it. follow two very lucky, and very unlucky boys, as they do everything they can to duck fate, keep their promises... and try very hard not to regret what promises they made. this is a bittersweet HEA, with a promise that everything will work out in the end, even if it's not the ways we expect. a beautiful setting on the high seas with amazing worldbuilding and a slow burn romance built on trust, hope, and a promise neither of them can remember.

A Deeply cozy story interspersed with intense drama, romantic feelings, and a dozen unspoken secrets. this Dungeons and Dragons inspired story holds so much packed into one book that there's going to be something for everyone! with themes like healing generational trauma, overcoming family expectations, mutual pining, learning who you are and what you want to be, standing up for oneself, and more, this was a warm hug wrapped in dramatic adventure as two people stand up against the odds, and achieve the dreams they never thought possible... or allowed themselves to think about.
