Not going to rate this book since it’s a memoir and who am I to rate a lived experience for. It’s a very sad and emotional book yet very poignant. She has a way with words and makes you feel comfortable and at ease. She’s led a very interesting life and has been through a lot in regards to the losses she’s faced. It’s a very interesting book but make sure to have the tissues close by.

I couldn’t put this book down. this whole thing was eerie and unsettling. there’s something to be said about emerence and the narrator and they’re relationship. it’s complicated yet reading on its understandable why they rely on each other and the relationship they have.

To read about why this speech out many other speeches he made became his most notable one was interesting. I knew some of the history but this brought more depth to the history of it & why this one became so noteable.

when the witch said at the end everyone hunt for pussy, I lost my mind. I couldn’t stop laughing until I finished and had to take a moment before finishing, very immature I guess lol. Anyways this is a decent kids book, very immersive and quick read.

I’m kinda bummed bc I thought I would like this book more but I didn’t. It def gave off hokey and feel good vibes just by the synopsis and book cover alone (sorry to judge but it’s true). Halfway thru it dragged and I almost dnf’d it but I didn’t bc idky I think I wanted to finish it for a book club but yeah it was just meh.

I liked this book. I enjoy her writing style, i liked the plot, enjoyed the themes and found the characters compelling enough to finish this book lol. I def think both main male characters would benefit from therapy lol. I will say the way she writes her male characters is better then how she writes her female characters but I think this boo her female characters were better written but still not as well written as her male characters. I rly need to try and read more from her.

Eh. There’s a part where a message from this book is how sometimes a book can change your perspective & be life altering can happen. I wouldn’t say it’s with this book.

My fave read of the year. It started off with a bang tw
the main character about to commit suicide & ngl as someone who’s had a lot of those thoughts it really pulled me in.
where I thought the book was going vs where it went it chefs kiss so good and I kept me enraptured right til the end. Just so good.

Idk how I feel about this book (woah deja vu much but this time different) but in a complimentary type of way. Idk. Like the synopsis says who’s doing the talking, what’s the reason behind this trip, will we ever know? Eh prbly knot and I’m ok with that. And I think that’s why I liked the book.
