Seeing Riri continue to develop her character in a way that slightly mirror's Yona's own experiences is interesting. Characters standing up for what they believe in, and not being blind, but rather observant to the motives of both ally and foe. I adore this series.

I loved seeing all the characters come together in this volume. So fun to see some older faces and the fun banter and reunions.

I love how this series combines more tense moments with humour, all the dragons are such goofballs. Honestly part of the joy of reading is watching the adventures of Ao, our adorable squirrel sidekick. We get to see a bit more backstory about the Blue Dragons and develop some of Sinha's character. Then it's back to water tribe territory!

This volume we dived further into the backstory of the yellow dragon, which is so emotional! All the emotions. With his past now revealed, my attachment to Zeno is stronger, and I just want everyone to be happy.

This volume made me laugh and cry. I'm absolutely invested in our little group's adventures and struggles. Absolutely love this series, and this volume was excellent.

This book may well be my favourite of the Howl series.
The characters were fun and the involvement of the original team of Sophie, Howl and Calcifer in this book was hilarious and enjoyable.
Our main character certainly has her flaws but I actually really like following her around. The house was certainly twisty and turny! An excellent book to say goodbye to this series~

I remember my mum reading this to me when I was a child, and my dad decided to read the series to me now, many years on.
For the nostalgia factor alone, I do like this book. The descriptions of food and general ways they collected/harvested and stored their provisions is intriguing to read about.
The song lyrics dotted through the book are very strange to read now, especially not knowing what tune Pa would have sung them, except for Old Grimes/Auld Lang Syne. A few other odd parts but rather enjoyable.
