It is absolutely necessary for me to re-read this. Plato laid the philosophical foundations for Western civilization, and as such is very important to read.

This book definitely gave a brief overview of Canadian history. I was thinking "400pgs? Surely brief is an exaggeration" but this book felt much shorter than 400, probably due to the wide breadth covered. Seems pretty good! My only real complaint is that you're an outsider to Canadian history this book may be a bit confusing at points, referencing things one may have never heard of, but other than that, its pretty alright!

A lot of people I know disliked this book, but I found it alright and pretty interesting.

To me, this book seemed more like a motivational book with obvious advice than a guide on how to help prevent fascism (In solely America). Sometimes the chapter titles and then the content of it seemed completely unrelated. Some of the advice that I remember was:
- Read Harry Potter
- touch grass
- have lots of eye contact
- smile
- use the internet a bit less
- have a passport
I find the reviews saying that this book is an essential read a bit confusing, but I could maybe see the use as an easy to digest intro to political ideas on fascism/tyranny.
