GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm not sure how I forgot so much of this book! There were a few plot twists where I was literally speechless. For about five seconds, at least, until I started screaming.
And I don't know, the (SPOILER) death at the end shook me up even more rereading this. I knew it was coming, but reading it now, Glaedr's point of view was making me cry. I normally don't get this teary over fantasy!
Anyway. Yes. Good book. On to Inheritance to CONCLUDE THIS FLIPPING AMAZING SERIES.

I couldn't sleep after I finished it, I was a bit freaked out. It's crazy how this book was so stupid yet so good... it's relatable, even though these girls do stuff I never would. Their world is so different. I enjoyed it and now I'm hellbent on finding the next few in the series. I NEED TO FIND OUT WHO 'A' IS.
Best finale to a series I've read in a long time. The ending was the perfect bittersweet mix of elation and victory yet disappointment in how some characters acted. But to end it any other way to avoid that disappointment would only cheapen the story, I think. Plus, this way it leaves ends open so you can imagine the future for all these characters.
The writing was good, the story was EXCELLENT, the characters developed well... it's great to see how Eragon has developed into a man through these books, especially since I read the whole series starting last month.
I highly recommend the whole series to anyone interested in fully submersing fantasy, because you won't be let down with the final book. Everything ends up in its place, as it should be, qualifying the ending as a beautiful fiction.

There were so many moments in this book where the irony wanted to make me laugh and burst into tears. So most of the time, I did both. And even better, I did so in the middle of psychology class, where people immediately tried to diagnose me with a mental problem. I was like, "No, it's just good literature!"
For being the first Foer book I've read, it was brilliant... I need to read Everything Is Illuminated. This book was just... oh my GOD. Beautiful.

THIS BOOK BLEW MY MIND AND I ALSO NOW UNDERSTAND CALCULUS.
I have a new respect for the number 0 and all the crap it can cause and also how it ties in with infinity, like yin and yang... I know I'm a math nerd, but seriously, if you like math or understand math at all or you're a calculus geek like I am, READ THIS. It's so crazy. There's so much stuff that just seems incredibly out there for math reasoning. Like, if math was a religion, the stuff in this book would be the gospel.
Did you know e^(pi*i) + 1 = 0?
I don't even know how that works but it's amazing.

I loved how it was told like a giant tall tale, or an extremely long campfire tale, yet it was believable despite its numerous absurdities. It was the best kind of fiction.
This makes me want to read a lot more Dean Koontz. I highly recommend this book because it's funny, it's scary, and even without all the clowns in this book, it would still be funny and scary.

Wasn't my favorite. Let me elaborate: I have a thing against most books about adolescent boys, especially classics, that are told from first person or limited third person. This is because the narrator makes the boy notice other people in a way far more sophisticated than I'd imagine an adolescent boy would notice others and be considerate of their thoughts and feelings. Of course, I'm not an adolescent boy, so I wouldn't know. But Lord of the Flies, even, offered too much introspection in some points, as did this book.
But Knowles kept it to a minimum and for the most part, kept it to how I'd expect the average 17-year-old guy to think and react to life. And of course there's a whole conflict with the light and dark sides of human nature that played out beautifully, as well as the symbolism of the surprise ending (I swear I didn't see it coming, I almost cried).

I loved all the music and pop culture references in this book, especially because the author gave a musical guide in the back.
What was interesting in this book wasn't only the idea but the writing with which it was presented; Mia had almost no emotion in her in-between state, and it was quite an experience reading about it and trying to reconcile all her human memories with how she is.
Plus, the ending was a bit of a heartstopper. Just saying. It got to me. It was good.
