This book was surprisingly good. It was weird enough to keep me reading, and there were randomly endearing details even amidst some of the grotesque plotline. I know there is a lot to this book and many layers of theology and religion to delve through while reading this one but I read it purely for enjoyment and I still loved it. The book is ridiculously quirky so it may turn others off but I sort of enjoyed it.

This book was REALLY good but since it was so short it was hard to have a build up to the emotional epiphanies at the end. The catharsis was nice though. And the dialogue was great as it is in every Salinger book although this is only the second one of his I've read. I still need to read Nine Stories.

FINALLY DONE WITH THIS ANTHOLOGY.
Loved: Child's Play, Saboteur, The White Heron, Young Goodman Browne
Hated: Blue Water Djinn, A Worn Path
Didn't expect to like: Metamorphosis

Well THAT was boring. I don't think you're supposed to understand what they're saying about computers unless you actually KNOW computers so perhaps I shouldn't have even tried to read this. There didn't seem to be a huge plot build up, which is a bit more common in nonfiction, but even good nonfiction authors try to tell a story since humans respond to stories. The philosophical parts, as few as they were, were better when you could find them. So that's a plus. But otherwise I couldn't get into it.

This book basically explains LIFE. It was great. I need to read his other books now.

The middle dragged a bit, but WHAT AN ENDING. The language alone in the last section was just awesome.

This book requires a large amount of willing suspension of disbelief... if you read it you'll see what I mean. It's pretty good though, the plot has so many twists by the time you're almost done you're just so glad everything worked out. Until they hit you at the very end. I was not prepared for this book. Ugh.

The best and most epic way to end a series ever. Besides like The Deathly Hallows. BUT STILL OH MY GOD. IT'S JUST SO DAMN GOOD.

If a book can make me literally and truly laugh out loud then it deserves five stars. "You look like I need a drink." This book was priceless.
