This book is flawless. A beautifully crafted world of minute details, hope, magic and the love of a family that just happens to be that of a very famous Bard.

This was a masterful spy novel that trasported me to 1936 Cambridge and the intrigue in the years before WWII. I'm looking forward to readig the rest.

These short stories are each a profoundly insightful exploration of the human condition. I once read that the best thing about science fiction is that it allows the exploration of what it means to be human in circumstances other than our present. Ted Chiang weaves stories that stirke to the heart of both the peculiar nature of "being" and the near term possibilities of our technological evolution. Each story felt like a lesson in philosophy.
An absolute masterpiece.
