I listened to the audio while following along in my physical copy ... along with a pen to doodle and make notes!

Was this book top notch? No. Did it still capture my attention? 1000% Would I continue the series? Yes!

The author sure knows how to write a storyline that grips you ... I was highly invested and kept turning the pages to find out what happened next.

Towards chapter 20, though, I wanted to reach in the book and choke Estrella. Her back and forth attitude was giving me severe whiplash.

I guessed a thing or two about our MMC, Caelum... but I missed a MAJOR piece to that puzzle. Wow!

Definitely excited on how the next book plays into this all ...

*PS: I gave this 4⭐️, because there was a thing or two that was said in audio with "Caelum's voice" and I hated it!

The stars are for the Kortlek games!

The way the author was able to rope me in and keep my interest during the games was 🤌🏽

Although I was curious when it came to the 2nd generation, it just did not hit as I thought I would. The first one had its flaws, too, so it was not too disappointing to see the same here.

I loved the characters, but it had me questioning the "believability" in the relationship between Cove and Aria. They were each 💯 before coming together and just lost some of their spark as their "relationship" evolved.

I am curious to read books on the other characters, especially Arlo.

I listened to the audio while following along in my physical copy ...

I have to say that the author definitely had my attention when it came to the mystery surrounding Roshan and the magic surrounding Suraya.

However, more than halfway through, it lost me a bit ... especially when i felt like things got repetitive when it was apparent that too many people wanted Suraya.

I ended the book with so many questions, IYKYK! I am not even sure if there is more [like a book 2] because it just ended abruptly. Like I need to know!

I listened to the audio while following along in my physical copy ...

I think I am a part of the minority who just did not love this as much ...

My issue with this may be so different, however. I wanted Tea to truly pick herself and live her life with Kalen. I did not expect her to choose that ending tbh.

I am mad because Tea spent 3 books, choosing the "life" of others, and she always put herself in the back. Like, no!

Although this made the revelations more clearer, I was not okay with the way things ended.

Would I still recommend this series? Absolutely! Would I read this again? Maybe! But I just wish I could have loved the ending like most people have.

I re-read this book with audio ... and although it took me a lot longer to get through it [no fault of the book or audio], I truly enjoyed re-reading Jack & Raine's story. The ease in which it was written, the organic feel of their growing relationship, and the simplicity of a romance story was 🤌🏽

I gave it 5⭐️ the first time and will give it 5⭐️ again!

Original Review:
I loved everything about this book ...

The representation of silent illnesses was definitely one reason, but it was the MCs for me.

Jack and Raine were so cute! The way they gravitated towards each other, the perfect love story.

I love how their individuality glowed through the time they spent together. They challenged each other in the most loving way possible, and I ate it up!

Who does not dream of being a freelance musician traveling the world to meet someone at an Irish pub and fall in love? Certainly me in another dimension!

I loved the found family trope here ... Raine found people who accepted her for her, and she needed that support, especially when she felt she was alone.

I loved that Jack had the support he needed ... and was able to challenge himself around Raine.

I had the honor of reading a copy sent to me ... and look forward to reading more by this author.

Wow!

This was my favorite book this year so far 👏🏽

The way this author has taken the past lives trope and made it so poetic and magical 🤌🏽

I was glued to the pages ... and even when the ending started wrapping up, I was a bit skeptical on the ending, but the fact it remained the same throughout is amazing!

I am definitely holding on to this to reread when I need a magical escapism! ✨️

I loved the messiness of the characters in this book.

However, I just could not fully get behind the pettiness and jealousy surrounding the characters when it came to their decisions and their supposed standing when it came to family and what matters most.

I just felt like it was contradicting AF!

Although I was never expecting a happy ending, I just wanted more development in understanding the hidden feelings between all MCs. I felt like the characters were more led by their negative emotions vs settling things.

I am curious about side characters, like Emiliamo's brothers and the Russians. Would I read any next books? Yes!
