This one is pretty middle of the road. Especially the first 500 pages (A Plus is the chapters were hella short Love that). But the last section makes me give this a 4. And i do wanna read the next one.
I adore Boone. And Hades isnt so bad. Zai 💖. The main character was ok.
The stakes seemed low to me and nothing really surprised me. But during the last part i think it was good and did add some unexpected sad moments. Anyways, i think most people would like this.

Not what i was expecting but it was good. More supernatural horror/thriller. And there was a storyline surrounding family getting it together. Pretty unique book in my opinion. And the audio was great.

First off - I got this because it reminded me of Jason & Kyra. Shout out to you if you know that book! Anyways -This is a great book for young adults. I think this could be part of a great discussion for young teens about sexuality/sex, including lamar giles book, "not so pure and simple." Both books lean towards healthy views teen boys can have in regards to girls their age and to understanding their own thoughts and feelings. & a view point that encourages thinking before acting. This could def be a longer book but the goal wasn't to flesh out multiple plot lines but it would have worked that way too.

Im excited to read the next one. I dont understand some of the upset that sorta surrounded this book. The audio was fun. I would suggest that because it has thatrics. I did know one/two of the twists #smartpants hehehe. I didn't feel annoyed by the AAVE. I can understand ppl feeling like it didnt sound real but i think that might be an age thing. Ive seen/heard the dialogue in real life before. So I dont think its too far fetched considering its for the younger crowd and AAVE has become extremely mainstream. So, it's used correctly and incorrectly... But yeah, I liked it. It ook me so long to finish but ive done it!
