The characters flaws are A LOT in this one.

But the scenes are nicely spicy and well written.

I also didn’t find any errors in the book which I appreciate.

That being said, I got tired of Story the FMC very quickly. Shes a victim for sure but never learns to break free of that. But there’s 2 more Lords books so hopefully she gets a backbone.

I’m currently Team Rath.

50 stars. 100 stars. 1 million stars.

The sequel to Firekeepers daughter. Particularly important to those of us surrounded by Ojibwe culture.

Love the inclusion of native language, customs, everything.

Brilliant. Amazing. A story needing to be told.

I impatiently wait for a third book from this author.

Great addition to my Social Justice class to use in addition to the QFT model to solve problems in the community.

I do wish the final chapter was a little more clear and the examples were a little less silly.

The layout is great for students and the charts are really useful

The last of this series (although there is a spinoff that sounds a lot like Salacious Players Club tbh).

The final chapter of trying to escape cult life with the 5 brothers and their wives. It’s fast and exciting and the characters are strong and determined. A couple good twists.

The epilogue does what all of them do but I’m not mad about it this time. It’s pretty much the point of their lives and just briefly mentioned.

Umm, how does Eden not have a constant UTI with all the dirt she’s constantly in?

There’s so much growling. Like a lot. Like sometimes 4 per page a lot.

This is a great fast read with very short chapters. I use it with my students. I only give it 4 stars because about half of the chapters are just too loaded with dry material like acronyms, names, and legislative speak.

This series and the storyline are getting really good. So much so that I found the Gideon/Naomi storyline really boring and I wanted to get back to the non spice one.

The spicy scenes were meh. The author has everyone keening again.  Not sure why everyone is so upset all the time.

But the last 10% of the book? 5 ⭐️ and I can’t wait to start the final book!!!

This is the 3rd in the series. It’s also the best in storyline and character development.

Would be 5 stars if the author didn’t use the word “keen” so often (and often improperly?) along with “thick ropes” (yall know what im talking about here.

The use and acceptance of invisible illness and trauma are done well here.

I liked this one better than book 1.

It’s about a family of brothers who are forced into arranged marriages before they can attempt to escape the cult.

I liked the humor in this one and that the women are diverse and well rounded.

The scenes are spicy but realistic.

This would have been 5 stars if the author didn’t rely so heavily on ribcages, growling, and purring to move the story forward.

This is a religious cult series about 5 brothers trying to escape the cult. They have to get married and try to help their wives escape as well. They do this while playing good cult members on the outside.

The cult and the members are terrible people. The brothers are good and really funny.

The scenes are 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ but the author needs to expand their vocabulary so they aren’t so repetitive.

Good story from a serial killers pov.

A little gore. Maybe more than a little.

A bit of a lame ending though. The author attempted a shocking twist and it just fell flat.

Blood, gore, torture, rape, child abuse, death.
