The Fright Before Christmas: Surviving Krampus and Other Yuletide Monsters, Witches, and Ghosts by Jeff Belanger

Really entertaining and informative. I never really thought about the holidays and history of it but this book definitely put me in the spirt of the season!
The Last One at the Wedding by Jason Rekulak

Really slow start. I honestly didn’t like it at all until part 2 when the story actually started in.
I will say, I called it. I so called it, the moment Maggie was introduced I thought oh she’s behind whatever this was. Has to be, the way she was so rude to her dad?? How she didn’t talk to him for 3 years then suddenly reached out. Not to mention Tammy just okay with everything because they were rich. Yeah, everyone sucked. I’m glad that at least Maggie got consequences. I really wanted Frank to adopt Abby not Tammy but oh well.

It was good, just took a while to really get into and absorb the story line.
I like these books because you learn the secrets as it goes, the only thing was I didn’t really like any of the main characters. So it was harder to cheer for a side. For a while it was like the bad guys were going to win. Still a good read.

SO CLOSE TO 5 STAR!
I really enjoyed this book, I loved Carl, loved Rick and Katie was good too. I loved the added drama in and hers and carls relationship growing.
Only thing was I wasn’t a fan of the lack of Karma on the dad’s side. That’s what knocked it down

Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren

Cute. Childhood friends turn to lovers.
It was a bit frustrating at times with how emotionally unavailable she was but at the same time as you get through the story it’s very valid that she is.

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
3.5
It was really enjoyable. I loved all the detail that went into the writing along with the thought process
Only thing is it was kind of slow and with all the entries it got kind of confusing and repetitive. But I know that’s kind of the point of the process.

This is so well written I loved it. Not at all what I was expecting but overall was funny, lighthearted with a bit of serious bits crammed in.
Only thing is I wish there was more spice.

The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

Really cute. As always TJ Klune puts in really nice character development. I loved the variety of characters. The only reason for the lower rating is because I wasn’t too much of a fan of Arther. He seemed a bit boring to me, I’ll read the second book for sure though.
Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton

The beginning took me a minute to really get into, but once it did the story was really good and entertaining.
ST had some really good character development that I loved and the ending was really hopeful. Would recommend

I thought the meaning of this book was wonderful. Her entire process throughout the book was amazing too.
