Thought-provoking and well-written. But not something I particularly enjoyed reading due to the dark storyline and reminders of real-world injustices that left me angry and upset throughout much of the book. Glad I read it, but probably not one I would ever read again.

I’m not a huge poetry person, but I’m challenging myself to break out of my usual genres this year. I enjoyed Salt a lot and felt it was insightful, heartfelt, and emotional.

This book gripped me much more than I thought it would! I would’ve loved it to be a series as I’m very curious to know what happens to the main character’s future. The ending also went a little fast, it was one of those books where I was thinking “How are they going to wrap this up neatly with only this many pages remaining??” But overall I enjoyed the story, found it very unique, and it was well-written.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 6%.
Only got 15 pages in and the dialogue, inner monologue, and actions of the main characters were completely unbelievable, contrived, and just off. Enemies to lovers is my favorite romance trope, but this one was an instant ick for me.

Not a big fan of short stories, and this one is especially heavy on metaphors and imagery. Tried it as part of a reading challenge and I don't regret it, but I wouldn't read it again.
