I really love the premise of a person getting the chance to revisit the past (and future) to talk to a certain person. I was a bit confused in the beginning, thinking we would follow the same characters. But it turned out to be even better!!!! Each chapter dealt with a relationship to spouse to siblings to someone this person had "never" met. Each one tugged on my heart strings and this book was BEAUTIFULLY written.

I have always passed by this title in bookstores and libraries, but have never thought to give it a read. The cover alone captivated my interest and I would have never, in a million years, expect this kind of impact it causes. This is definitely a must read and now, a reread/relisten.

***Thank you Black Panel Press for a copy of this book in exchange for my review***

A quick read with a badass heroine. We follow the author of the Camel Toe comics. From her friendships to her relationship with her long time boyfriend Theo

I love that the actual comic is featured and watching Constance apply first hand experience into it.

  • I am happy alana and the family were able to find the author (D Oswald Heist)of the romance novel they love: A Nighttime Smoke
  • alana and marko were too star-struck in my opinion when Heist vomit on their newborn
  • heart-breaking with the grandfather dies :(
  • I was surprised he did not turn them over to Prince Robot IV -> he let them stay with him and they quickly bonded (especially Marko's mama)
  • more time with Gwendolyn, The Will, Honest Cat and Sophia
  • Prince Robot IV returns to Heist and all hell breaks loose...kills the author, hurts granny....in turn gets shot so hard his system reboots and loses his memory....from the looks of it he left on his ship and has not been seen sense, just before his first child is born
  • we meet The Will's sister (The Brand) and sidekick Sweet Boy who is soooo cute
  • It ends with our sweet narrator taking their first steps ^_^

Saga begins withs with the birth of our narrator (literally). Her parents, Marko and Alana comes from opposite sides of an ongoing war.

The fact they conceived the impossible has put a mark on their backs. So we follow them, half a ghost child and their pursuers (Prince Robot IV, Freelance Assassins and others). One of the Freelance Assassins by the name The Will has a giant Lying Cat that follows him around and it's so comical when it blurts out "LYING" when someone is talking.

Graphic illustrations are incredible and Saga is quite a page-turner. From the looks of it this is volume 1 of 12 and I cannot wait to read the next one.

Stumbling across this graphic novel warmed my mystery and Scooby-Doo loving heart.

In a dystopian setting, they start off as strangers (minus Daphne/Fred and Scooby/Shaggy, of course)

Scooby turns out to be a science experiment. Of course, Scrappy is here as well trying to kill of Scooby-Doo (shocker lol)

The entire mystery of the 4 bringing upon the apocalypse is truly captivating.. along with Velma hinting that she is keeping a secret in connection to this group.

It is utterly mortifying yet makes sense when more truth is exposed. There are gruesome scenes that made my stomach turn and creepy creatures lurking everywhere.

Scooby Apocalypse is a fantastic action filled beginning to this nostalgic rabbit-hole of a series
