Okay I have to admit, this book might have become my favourite books of 2022. It's filled with angst, with a slow burn type of love that just.. fills you up and surrounds you the second it bursts. It's got a plot twist no one could think of (and trust me, I love guessing the plot twists) and some scenes that might have you needing to cool off just a bit.

"I don’t feel lost in him at all, because it’s the first time I’ve ever felt like someone truly found me." and "I'll love you forever even when I can't" had me in absolute tears. A baby is what I was. A baby.

Okay I have to admit that it took me a solid twenty chapters before I got hooked into the book, but thankfully, that was only 33% into the book. Yeah, it's a long one. But when I tell you I spent a solid four chapters just in tears over Josh and Jules, I'm not lying. I don't know what it is about the beginning of the book that felt very slow, but for some reason, I didn't find myself being as into the story as I had been with Twisted Love and Twisted Games. But nonetheless, Ana didn't fail to tie in all the stories, add in some extra details about the girls and hook me right in with statements that hit too true to home. This book is a solid 4 stars, and I would continue to recommend this series to literally anyone who'll listen to me! I am so excited to see what else Ana has up her sleeve, especially when Twisted Lies is released!!

Okay cute book, but the plot was all over the place. Definitely needed to put either my phone or myself in the freezer at some points but oh well. Solid 10/10 ending and I even guessed the bonus chapter!

Okay - I know I'm lenient with my five stars but THIS BOOK?!?!?! Like Hello who the heck asked for a tear jerker on a Thursday afternoon?!?! Not me that's who!!!!

Matthias and Adelaide are two people who on paper, shouldn't work, but in reality, are two peas in a pod. They've seen hatred, they've experienced pain and loss, and all they need is someone who will fight for them. And lo and behold, it's the other person. I got so invested in this book that I didn't realize when I went from chapter 4 to chapter 10 because I was just so intrigued and hooked into the story. I wanted to know more, and more was never enough.

This book makes me wish for someone who'll love me unconditionally and who would also take time to learn HOW I liked to be loved (aka knowing and understanding my love language - which is a love language of it's own)!! 10/10 book. I'm not mad about needing to somehow read through my tears.

Okay, I HAVE to be honest. At the beginning I genuinely wondered why this book was getting the hype that it was getting. I was confused as to why everyone and their mom was adding this book to their reading lists and talking about it nonstop. But, the way this book pulled me in was actually something crazy. I couldn’t stop reading, and all I wanted to do was find out what’s next.

If anyone watched and loved Spinning Out, then this is for you, because it’s the cancelled Netflix series but in book form and it just… God it just gets you in your feels in ways you didn’t even see coming.

Okay, I think my favourite part would have to be the fact that you can tell Ivan loves Jasmine from the beginning. His sister’s best friend, the girl who he was teasing all the time because he’d rather tease her than not talk to her. Watching Jasmine come to terms with letting someone in, and without realizing she did, fall in love with the one person she placed her life in the hands off.

I NEED Mariana to drop a version of this book with Luke’s point of view, because we all know this man was smitten from day one. It’s got all the tropes we love, the enemies to lovers, the sister’s best friend, the colleagues and competitors. I would definitely read this book again in a heartbeat.

My cheeks hurt from smiling.

God what can I say about this book other than my heart has grown three sizes because of the sheer amount of love and genuine want of two people for each other. It’s a book that’s got me cheesing like an idiot at my phone, crying like a baby and even wondering why real life isn’t like this.

It tackles things like mental health, loss, the concept of dreaming and allowing yourself to feel something that could be uncomfortable or maybe even a little out of the box for you. It’s a book that focuses on never letting the creative side of you disappear, to never let the light dim, because your creativity and your mind are your strengths and your best characteristics.

There are things about this book that had me thinking how one person can come into your life and turn it upside down. Also I still believe that Grandpa B knew that these two needed each other all along - to spark the creativity and the dream, and the love that allows for forgiveness - whether it’s of others, of your past or yourself.

I love this book, and I can’t wait to dig deep into the next book!

a true classic scholar girl meets hockey boy and they're enemies turned to lovers because of close proximity story line. a story filled with "why did that never happen to me when I was in college" to "where can I find myself a Declan" and even something as simple as "I relate to Mak." It's a story about loss and regret, about trying to ease up with your guilt with choosing to life your life for someone else. It's about the importance of living in the moment and allowing yourself to have fun and let loose. To do the things YOU enjoy doing.

Declan and Mak also really reminded me of Garrett and Hannah, and we all know G is one of my all time
favourite book book boyfriends (and I mean, as he should be) but Declan could slowly make his way up there. the chokehold hockey boys have on me will never disappear because well.... hockey boys. my friend deb recommended that I read this book, and now I'm itching to continue the series and see what's next.
