Loved listening to this version, but the moans are a bit too cringe for my taste.

Excelente recurso sobre o Sacramento da Reconciliação. Bom para dismistificar o sacramento, remover medos e embuir-nos da coragem e calma que nos ajudam num bom exame de consciência e seguitne confissão. Também inclui orações para nos guiar no processo.

Poirot's novels are chicken soup for the soul for me. There is something about solving a lighthearted mystery that feels cozy, mainly when Poirot is the man doing the solving.

Of course, I'm always wrong in my intuitions. I never guess the killer. That says something about Christie's writing. She gives us all the clues while leading us in the wrong direction.

This one involves a Christmas reunion with a dysfunctional family - how relatable; every family member is a suspect!
I hope my family reunions never become this dark.

Comprei a pensar na minha sobrinha. À medida que crescer vai poder ler em conjunto com os pais e pensar no que é amar outros. Adoro como o livro coloca questões ao leitor, excelente para um momento de leitura em família.

A Sicilian Romance is another great book by Mrs. Radcliffe. She is a mysterious figure and also writes excellent fiction.

I will admit that a main character who passes out too much might be annoying, but Julia did try to keep herself from her father's plans in the face of so many tribulations that I must respect her. Ferdinand was also a favorite of mine in this book - this is what great brothers are made from.

The twists and turns had me. I listened to most of the book while walking my dog, and I must've looked silly, stopping and gasping as the story neared the end. I did not see that twist coming.

The use of horror and terror, or the focus on the Sublime, are excellent topics to consider while reading this. Pay attention to her word choice; Radcliffe was a master in her craft.
