I think I set this book up to disappoint me. I loved a very large expanse of sea and basically wanted to feel that way for this, and I didn’t. I still enjoyed it but could take it or leave it.

This book deserves a 5 star, but at multiple points it made me feel so much I didn’t think I could finish it. But I’m happy I did.

I read this bc TJR reviewed it and she is my book idol lol. But this book was easy, fun with enough depth and heart to give me the feels I want.
The Trouble with Hating You by Sajni Patel

I struggled at the beginning of this book and almost dnf’d. The author spent a lot of time in the beginning having characters out right say the unequal of men and women in the culture and Leah’s reputation. Once the story got going it was shown more in attitudes and actions and I really enjoyed the story, and was very satisfied with the ending.
