This book was not it for me, the pacing was for to fast and felt chaotic. This fast pacing was not only chaotic but made the story less believable, It took away a lot of underlying motives and word building, which whouldve made the story a better whole. Also who was the enemies? It felt flat, surtenly after reading a book like the Poppy War.
But the story idea was very nice, I did enjoyed it to some level and the book being a debut made it still quite impressive.

In the first half of the book, Esther is slowly getting insane and reaches her breaking point. It felt like the bell jar was closing in on her, trapping her and sucking out all the air. The second felt like it was written in a haze like Esther was trapped in the bell jar and everything just happened and she wasn't there. The writing in this book was insanely good.
I felt this book in my soul and bones. When I finished it I felt empty and didn’t know what I thought of it, but the impact and the feeling of somebody capturing those depressing feelings on paper made me give it 5stars.
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
The ending led to a beautiful full circle moment, which made the story cohesive and a wonderful whole, with a nod to the beginning.

I must admit that I have never been much of a sci-fi reader. I was never particularly good at these subjects in school, which sometimes led to me not "realizing" whichscience elements were fiction and which were not. In other words, the story was very well thought out, and the science elements were so well integrated that they were seamlessly woven together - at least for me. Not only did the science elements have a good setup, but the structure of the present and past was also very well executed, and the transitions were easy to follow.
The writing style that Weir employs has many humorous elements, which made the book feel light-hearted despite the complex subjects. Especially the moments when the fourth wall was broken were very entertaining.
The book remained thrilling until the very last page, and if you haven't picked it up yet, what are you waiting for?!

So so boring, I love Emily Henry but this was not it. Friends to lovers but with no tension or anything. The fmc is a pick me and Alex is just boring and I didn't understand the match at all. Skip read the second half of the book, but dnfing would've been better
