I preferred this to the first book in the series. It felt more reflective of our current world and I enjoyed having the different perspectives of the characters rather than just April throughout.
thought the way in which people quickly started to use the Altus space was actually very close to how I could imagine it playing out in reality.

Incredible book. Tells a story about colonialism and slavery in such a brilliant way, showing its effects throughout generations. I didn't want it to end.

Some interesting insights into anxiety and depression, but can be a bit fluffy in places.

Brian is one of the most annoying protagonists I've ever read - at best he's awkward and embarrassing, and at worst he's rude and racist. I appreciated the writing, and if it wasn't for this, I don't think I could have finished the book. Brian doesn't seem to grow, learn from his mistakes, or have an ounce of empathy throughout the book.A seriously difficult read!
