Love at first sight โœ”๏ธ
College Rivals โœ”๏ธ
Golden Retriever MMC โœ”๏ธ

Firstly, I would like to thank Lulu Moore and Valentines PR for allowing me this ARC. I absolutely adored reading this book, and having it as my first book of Luluโ€™s just made it even more enjoyable for me.

Iโ€™ve slowly been delving into the sports romance genre, but Iโ€™ve never seen a sports romance that focuses on rowing! Itโ€™s because of Lulu that I will be paying closer attention to whenever rowing is on TV, especially to see if I can find a man like Oz. I also want to watch more rowing so I can appreciate and love the glossary that was the front of the book because that made it even better for me!

Instead of a reformed playboy, you have a gentleman with a heart of gold who has so much passion for a sport that it is remarkable to say the least. Heโ€™s been so many great milestones within rowing (ones that I didnโ€™t even know existed until now) and yet he keeps finding more milestones to achieve. I like that Lulu strayed away from the cliches that you find within sports romance and made something fun and beautiful. While I am a sucker for a cliche, I do love when things happen differently, Iโ€™d be crazy not too. Oz is a golden retriever in human form and I refuse to believe anything else. Heโ€™s kind, warm, genuine, funny, handsome and all around perfect, hell, itโ€™s hard to find a red flag attached to him! My heart breaks for him regarding his dad; Oz deserves much better when it comes to him, a dad who wonโ€™t be an asshat or someone who treats his family so poorly. Despite his dad, the rest of Ozโ€™s family are lovely, and the dynamic they have is something that others would do illegal things for. Getting to see him spend time with his family while having Kate there was one of my favourite moments and one Iโ€™ll be thinking about for a long time!

Kate being an American was something that I really liked in this story. I had no idea that rowing was popular in America so it was nice to learn that little fun fact. Another thing that I liked about this story was that Kate was involved with the sport, once again Lulu is straying from the cliches and allowing something unique to be a part of the story! I would just like to point out that while some have branded this story as an enemies to lovers, I wouldnโ€™t describe that as one of the tropes, if anything itโ€™s not even a rivals to lovers and thereโ€™s love at first sight taking place. Kate is someone who exudes confidence while being down to earth, loyal and unique. Kate goes for what she believes in but also strays from achieving her own dreams in the hopes that sheโ€™ll achieve her brothers instead. Kate did frustrate me at times but I can also understand why her scholarship was so important to her; I just wish that she had a bit more trust in Oz considering he had showed he would do anything for her if it meant she was happy.

Friendships played such an important role in this story, and I love that even with rivalry, friendships were still present with both teams. It showed you more about the characters while also creating a great support system on both sides. The friendships also make you want more stories for the characters, and that is something that I am BEYOND excited for! I loved how mature the friendships were and that instead of silly arguments and judgments, the friends rallied around one another and spoke through things logically. I truly believe that without the friendships that Kate and Oz had, they wouldโ€™ve gone crazy.

The little sneaking around, the moments where you got to see the sport in action, the dreams the characters had. All of these things made the story more beautiful and created something incredible. Everything was so well thought out with this story that itโ€™s hard to think anything negative, and it breaks my heart that I did find three little negative points.

The reason I rated the book down a little was for three reasons:

1. Lack of representation. There were no mentions of characters who had different races, sexualities or disabilities. This left me feeling a little disappointed as I believe that representation is important.

2. Plot holes. The press and a certain situation played a big part through out the story, if not, made the turning point, and yet we never found out what happened to those involved. You cannot have something play a major part and then leave it hanging, it leaves the reading wanting to know more and unsatisfied due to having no outcome.

3. Ozโ€™s dad. I guess this blends in with the plot holes. He was an absolute dock and once Oz finally stood up to him, everything became radio silent. What happened to him? What happened to his contact with the rest of his family? The man deserved to be called out for his shit and yet it didnโ€™t happen.

If youโ€™ve made it to the end of this review, I hope itโ€™s clear that I loved this story and that I would happily read it time and time again. Also, please can we just appreciate the stories name? ITโ€™S SO FREAKING CUTE.

I am a sucker for a cute novella that is unproblematic and Stacey Lynn has my whole for this series already! Nothing can convince me otherwise when I think about how perfect this series is going to be.

Meredith has so much confidence and energy that Iโ€™d love to be friends with her. I love how sheโ€™s so content with who she is and refuses to let anyone bring her down. I also loved her little โ€œgiftโ€! I thought it was a fun little thing to give her and made her unique as a person!

Tuevo is an absolute sweetheart and my heart breaks for him regarding his parents because he deserved so much better than his father, and so did his mother! I love how even though he didnโ€™t believe in the idea of marriage, he also didnโ€™t push away Meredith and still gave things a go with her.

Finally, I loved that there was more of a sport aspect within this story, and I cannot wait to read more!

Small Town โœ”๏ธ
Found Family โœ”๏ธ
Accidental Pregnancy โœ”๏ธ

I would just like to start off by thanking Valentine PR and Stacey Lynn for allowing me to the chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review. It has been an absolute pleasure, and Stacey is now stuck with me forever, good luck to her as my obsession for her fictional men continues to grow.

One night was all it took for an accidental pregnancy to take place, one night was all it took for Emilyโ€™s life to be changed completely. Some would say that her life was ruined (her terrible parents), but others would say it was for the best, and I agree on that.

Meeting Emily was an absolute pleasure as she is such an incredible woman with a heart of gold. Anyone who knows Emily is so incredibly lucky because I would do anything just to have her as my friend. From the get go, Emily came across as an incredibly strong woman who gave her everything to her son and the life she had. With no family to support her, and no knowledge of who Landonโ€™s dad was, she went with the flow and hoped that one day she would find his dad.

Personally, I really enjoyed the way Emily found out who Landonโ€™s father was and found it unique. It also showed just how strong of a woman Emily is with the way she handled the situation and instantly considered what was best for her son rather than herself. At first, I was like oooooh, itโ€™s about to get juicy when she showed up at the stadium and out came a certain someone, and the little plot twist had me sucked in, because hello? Why wouldnโ€™t it?!

As we got to know Caleb, that man had my ovaries ready to explode and I was actually jealous of not having a child of my ownโ€ฆ Why do all the fictional women get the benefits while us living women have to sit and read about it? Iโ€™m just kidding, but oh my, Caleb Kelley can have me in his bed any day! The man may not always be the smartest but the way he stepped up and handled things was leaving my heart so happy, he was so freaking responsible and I just loved him so much. He is a man that could make any woman fall to her knees, especially when heโ€™s doing his best to make the family heโ€™s just found out about, a more permanent fixture in his life.

One thing that broke my heart was Emilyโ€™s parents. THAT WOMAN DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER! Iโ€™m a sucker for a found family trope and who needs parents like hers when you have the Kelley family? Am I right or am I right? It just goes to show that family doesnโ€™t necessarily have to be blood to be a family. Itโ€™s the way you treat and support one another that makes you a family and I wish they were real so I could go up to their ranch and thank them for treating Emily with so much love.

Iโ€™ve talked about a lot of positives, and the only reason I marked the story down a little was due to the fact that Caleb is a hockey player and yet I felt as though we rarely got to see that within in the story. It was mentioned, we met his PR team, we met some team mates, we read about a game, but there was barely anything there for me to really sink my teeth into. It felt more like a small town romance with a sweet man rather than a small town romance with an athlete. I feel as thought that couldโ€™ve been picked up on a little more, especially when the PR situation seemed to play such a big part during the story, and then it kinda just disappeared into the background.

Despite my negative, I absolutely adored this story and I think anyone would be crazy not to. It was so wholesome and beautiful to read. I cannot wait for the next story because this is a series that Iโ€™m not ready to say goodbye to yet.

PS. I would get on my knees for you any day Caleb, just putting that out thereโ€ฆ

Most books go down hill in a series, no book is any better than the first but when it comes to this series, that couldnโ€™t be further from the truth. I loved reading this book and after meeting Rhys in Evie and Gabrielโ€™s story, I can say that I am over the moon that he was the man to give Isabel a happy ever after.

No family is perfect and when it comes to the Gage family, those words ring true. Each sister has had some of scandal, and the brothers are known for certain things too, and yet because of those moments, the family continues to grow stronger each time.

Isabel is known as a spinster and was content in living the rest of her life as a single woman who had no children of her own, so when she fell on top of Rhys, it was quite a surprise to her, but it was the best kind of surprise. I love that the two old ladies caught them because it meant the idea of marriage had to be considered!

Can we just talk about Rhys? Rhys is possibly the grumpiest man in the entire series but when heโ€™s talking to his daughter, my ovaries were going all over the place. HE WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL DAD. He wasnโ€™t perfect, some of the ways he acted made me want to headbutt a wall, but he truly meant no harm, he just wanted the best for his daughter, even if he was to get hurt in the process.

Millicent was a character I couldnโ€™t stand at first, but as time progressed, so did her character and it was understandable to why she acted the way that she did. The only man she has ever known randomly bought another woman into her life, itโ€™s understandable to why she would be so closed off, but the relationship that progressed between her and Isabel had me so happy.

I loved loved loved the plot twist to do with Rhys as it wasnโ€™t something I expected OR considered, I feel like it was a great way to portray a certain message, and Isabel was so good to Rhys within that moment.

I loved everything about this book and I truly hope Millie gets her own book in a different series because Iโ€™d love to see how her life ends up!

Please note that this review is my honest and opinion and my views are my own.

The author contacted me one day vim TikTok mentioning her debut novel to me, I said Iโ€™d be interested in reading and reviewing it as long as I had a follow on my social media accounts. I must be honest, I saw the cover and felt as though not a lot of time or effort had been put into it, I also thought that the cover wasnโ€™t big enough to fit a paper/hard back. Despite his, I read the synopsis and was immediately intrigued at the story being both romance and thriller based, especially when in most thrillers you see the idea of a romance but itโ€™s never elaborated on!

Downloading the book on KU, I settled down for the night and opened it up. Straight away, the layout out me off and it came across that the story hadnโ€™t been formatted properly, this is a big turn off for me as a reader and I like to feel as if things are neat, and I donโ€™t enjoy seeing a new chapter on the same page as the previous one.

It was very clear from the start that the story was focused on two women who seemed to be going through a mid life crisis, two women who are complete opposites yet have a friendship that is built on a tough foundation. I loved Mackenzie instantly and couldnโ€™t understand for a single second to why her husband would divorce her, sheโ€™s an actual sweetheart and thinks so much more about others than she does herself. I also found Mackenzie to be relatable in certain aspects of her personality, she was a character that I was constantly rooting for!

Faith came along, and I started to become frustrated. With all respect to the authorโ€ฆ her daughter is more mature than Faith through out the entire story. The way Faith acts is really off putting and made me want to put my kindle down numerous times and DNF the story. While disliking Faith, I did feel bad for the fact that her ex husband was such an ass. She deserved better than what he did to her, and Iโ€™m glad she found that in the end, but I can honestly say that Faith is someone I wouldโ€™ve preferred to not be in the story and simply have the book focus on Mackenzie, or at least have Faith be less rude, immature and loud.

Although there were little things taking place that you would involve in a thriller, I wouldnโ€™t say that the still didnโ€™t actually come across as a thriller until at least 20% in. This was really disappointing; I was more concerned as to when it was going to start to be more thrilling than I was about guessing who was causing the women hell.

As the story continued to progress, I was curious to where the trigger warnings were present because I couldnโ€™t find any and let me tell you, THERE NEEDED TO BE. Some of the things that took place in this story was very detailed and having no trigger warning is dangerous! I truly hope the author is able to go back and do something about this because people are going to be in for a shock numerous times otherwise.

I will note, I really enjoyed the romance that took place between Mackenzie and Anthony! I loved how sweet he was towards Mackenzie and how protective he was over the two women instantly. My heart was breaking for Anthony too because of his own back story, especially when a little twist came in with his own family. Him and Mackenzie were really two peas in a pod and meant to be, and I love that they both got that chance at love from a chance meeting on the beach. The only thing that didnโ€™t feel right was the book having spicy scenes. If you want spicy scenes, I think the romance and thriller aspect should be separated COMPLETELY because it then took over the story and downplayed the thriller side again.

Despite what other readers think, I found it way too obvious to who was causing all this trouble through out the story, it was very clear from how the character was portrayed by the author which also made the story less thrilling for me.

All in all, I am truly sorry to the author that I have found so many negative points within this story, I love the idea that you tried to execute, but I feel as though thereโ€™s still a lot that could be improved on. I wish her all the best with this book and her future endeavours.

Marriage of Convenienceโœ”๏ธ
Age Gapโœ”๏ธ
Friends to Loversโœ”๏ธ

I thought the second book of this series was brilliant but this book trumped that one. I was so excited to find out that there was a book for Gabriel as I absolutely adored his character when I met him in the first one! I always hoped it would be with Evie but at first I didnโ€™t know how Iโ€™d feel about the age gap, but I can truthfully say that it didnโ€™t bother me at all by the time their romance started.

Evie is my favourite character within the entire series. I love how kind and charming she is while also being elegant and confident. Evie has no doubt gone through her fair share of heartache and I wish she went through less, but itโ€™s also made her the woman she is and sheโ€™s grown to be someone who wants to fall in love and someone who is extremely kind.

Gabriel is most certainly a rake and when it comes to love, itโ€™s not on the table for him, but heโ€™s extremely down to earth and loyal. I love how free his spirit is and while it sometimes gets him in trouble, itโ€™s nice to see someone act differently to the rest of the men within then ton and outside of the ton. Gabriel is probably the less person who would ever agree to a marriage of connivence so when he agrees to one with Evie, I honestly want to kick and scream with happiness, even if he only did it for money.

One thing I loved with the story was the beginning, it was something I never wouldโ€™ve guessed, and it made me want to know how we got to that situation in the first place, it was the perfect way of keeping the reader intrigued.

Honestly, I canโ€™t think of anything that I disliked within this story, I thoroughly enjoyed it and itโ€™ll remain as a favourite for a long time. If anything, Iโ€™m super grateful for Sadie Bosque because sheโ€™s the reason I absolutely adore historical romances now!

Forced Proximityโœ”๏ธ
Forbidden Loveโœ”๏ธ
Found Familyโœ”๏ธ

This book continues to live rent free in my head daily, and I have no issues about that if Iโ€™m honest. When I read the first story, I enjoyed it, but I wasnโ€™t in love with it so I was expecting to feel the exact same about this story, but I was sooooo wrong! I still canโ€™t get over the fact that I had to finish this book because I couldโ€™ve continued reading about Russ and Aurora daily.

Aurora is a firecracker, and I love her confidence yet hate how insecure and sensitive she is because of how sheโ€™s been treated by those she loves throughout her life. The found family trope really makes Aurora who she is and I love that she has people who arenโ€™t blood related yet more like family than people such as her dad are. Rory has a heart of gold and itโ€™s a shame that she feels the way she does about love because she deserves so much love and happiness that I would honestly do anything just to see her happy. Rory is the type of person that everyone needs in their life but isnโ€™t lucky enough to have, and Iโ€™ll be forever grateful that I got to have her in my life, even if it was for only a short amount of time.

Russ worked his way into my favourite book boyfriends list and I miss him so much, especially when he was praising Rory during their spicy moments. To put it simply, Russ is a dreamboat and I hope Hannah Grace is proud of herself for creating such a perfect specimen that doesnโ€™t exist BECAUSE I FOR ONE AM NOT! Russ is a sweetheart and he goes through so much that my heart breaks for him. I really loved the progression that took place with Russโ€™s character because his confidence grew and he became a man who could put himself first, even when he knew it hurt others. I loved seeing him happy and I love that he got a happy ending that was deserved. Russ is just perfect in every way, and I love the way he was so respectful to Rory while being at Honey Acres. Russ is honestly a man I would let ruin me and say thank you to him.

One thing I really really loved about this story was fact that even though Russ was involved in sports, it wasnโ€™t what he wanted for his future which instantly takes away from the fact that most sport based stories usually her one of the characters ending with a career in their preferred sport, it was a fun little twist that made a big difference for me.

I can honestly say that I canโ€™t think of a single flaw when it comes to Wildfire, it was so much better than the first story and I am truly excited for the third, but I donโ€™t think itโ€™ll live up to the amount of love I have for Russ and Aurora.

This was the second book I read within the series and I have to admit that I loved it massively! I think it was so much better than the first one and it left me super excited to continue the series!

Itโ€™s because of Sadie that my love for historical romances are growing and Iโ€™m so grateful for that as it opens me up to an entire world of wonderful stories!

John was a sweetheart in the first story and I believe he deserved better than what he had, and this story allowed him to get his happy ending in a way that he deserved. I wonโ€™t say that he is perfect because he is far from it, but for a man who has been through so much, he was so brave to continue with life and do his best for himself.

Sam has become one of favourite characters within the series! She has a heart of gold and I love how strong she is! Sam is full of confidence and never allows something to dampen her spirit, even when things get rough, and the way she cares for others is just beautiful.

The friends to lovers aspect was super cute within this story, especially when it was also a marriage of convenience. I was curious to see how the original set up between John and Evie could be avoided, especially when Samantha comes across as so loyal. I was pleasantly surprised to see how it worked out and I think it was the perfect way to go about things!

In addition to the friends to lovers trope, I also loved the representation of PTSD, but I do feel that it couldโ€™ve been represented a little better with flashbacks of scenes that really affected John rather than little things. PTSD is such a horrible mental illness and it was great to see an author show how it can affect daily life, even if youโ€™re no longer in that traumatic place and improving.

Finally, if anything annoyed me massively, it was how often John threw himself a pity party and refused to accept responsibility. It felt as though excuses were being made every time, and in the end it was nice to see him prove himself to Sam, she deserved that and more. Despite his excuses, the ending that Sam and John had highlighted significant character development alongside the found family trope. It was a beautiful ending and I would happily recommend this story to others!

Before I dive into the review, can we just appreciate how cute that quote is and how amazing Jed is?! He is by far, the best love interest in the series as of this moment!

This book wasnโ€™t as light as the first two and yet I adored it more than the others. What happens when you wake up from a coma but struggle to remember what happened? Skylar De Beer did exactly that and my heart broke for her. She wasnโ€™t the perfect person and I really disliked her character when I first met her, she was rude and obnoxious, and the way she treated others who didnโ€™t have as much money as her was disgusting.

At first I found Jed a little bit weird, he was definitely a character who came across awkward a bit OTT, but he was also full of advice that logical and realistic. He had a heart of gold from the start and that only seemed increase as you got to know him more.

Something I found incredibly sweet was the way he would do things for Skylar while she was asleep, and how kind she was to him as he got to know her. The character development was fantastic for Skylar within this story and I love the person she turned out to be.

The plot twist threw me as I thought I knew who had done what but obviously, I got it wrong. I was furious when I read the plot twist, but also liked how realistic it was as the plot twist that happened to Skylar does happen nowadays.

Jordan Ford does a wonderful job and highlighting serious issues that has a lot of stigma surrounding them and she shows women that itโ€™s okay to dress how they want and be who they are.

Finally, the romance was adorable and theyโ€™re my favourite couple and I hope I still get to see them in the next couple of books!
