I enjoyed this until the first female character appeared 90% of the way in

You know when you get the weird vibes, like an author describing a character as not pretty, then describes a pretty person.

I wish there was more focus on what happened during the outbreak. Also too much Shakespeare for me, it feels like refences that I don't understand
