Book Boyfriend by Austin Siegemund-Broka, Emily Wibberley

Jennifer embodies what I hate about every extreme person in a fandom. She has literally zero personality outside of her fandom and she is annoying. I hated how everything was compared to the series she loves.
Scott is just weird and I don’t get why he went to this ‘retreat’ to accomplish his goals. (I’m not going to elaborate to avoid spoilers.) I don’t like how he treats Jennifer even if she is really annoying.
This wasn’t a good time for me personally.

First off, how dare you!
I’m not okay. Send help! This was an amazingly devastating book. I loved that we got Haymitch’s story but I hate it. This was so well written and it my favorite is the series. I love that there were so many nodes to the other books. Highly recommend but know this will hurt your feelings. First off, how dare you!

This was a well written book but wasn’t for me. I felt it was long winded and boring to read at times. I didn’t like that the characters would quote Shakespeare when they were just having normal conversation. I understand that this book was supposed to make fun of people that go to pretentious schools, but the writing was obnoxious at times.

I was given an ARC to read and review. Thank you Jenny for allowing me to read and review this book.
I really enjoyed the concept of this book and the magic system. The issues for me is there was too much going on in too short of a book.
There were many ideas and relationships that had great potential but didn’t have time to form a grow because the book was so short. If this was 200 pages longer I truly believe this could be an amazing book.
Sadly due to how short that book was the plot, world building, and character development felt incomplete

I wasn’t sure how I felt about Sadie’s POV in this book when I first started but loved the extra POV by the end. I loved seeing her grow as a character and watch her relationships grow and change throughout the book. This was a great second book and I can’t wait for the next in the series.

This was well written but wasn’t for me. I felt no connection to any of the characters. The plot was just not it for me.
