Hyperion by Dan Simmons
4.0
Loved it!
Hyperion is a great, so called "soft", science fiction novel! Simmons builds up a very interesting and very mysterious universe, while keeping the characters and the plot compelling.
I am not usually that good with "backstories" (and boy, this book is mostly backstory), because it grinds the plot to a halt. However, in this case, the backstories are also very interesting and they are relevant to the main plot!
It was one of those books where you say "Oh, I'm just gonna read ten pages and then do the dishes", and suddenly it's late in the evening and you read a a hundred pages.

To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf

Well, I should probably reread it. I am not at all comfortable with Virginias way of jumping around with the point-of-view. But that fault may very well be on my end.
Under the Greenwood Tree, Or, the Mellstock Quire by Thomas Hardy

Short and sweet. With emphasis on sweet.
