This one was definitely my favourite HP book yet!
Lovely winter read, with a sometimes childish main character and very annoying side characters, but a very enjoyable plot.
What a crazy ride this book has been. I loved the character development, I loved the background story we get about Voldemort and Dumbledore's memories... and the last hundred pages were actually mind-blowing. I can't believe I've waited for so long to read the series.
I just finished it, but I want more. This book is like jurda parem : I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH *Black Eyed Peas playing in the background*.
I absolutely adore the whole world this book brought me into. It's misterious, it's cruel full of ugly reality but magic too. I never thought I'll find another book series as good as The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices but this is on top with them and I really want to read all of leigh Bardugo's books now.
I loved the characters and their personalities. if the plot were to be boring or unlikeable I would've still gave 5 stars just thanks to the characters. I loved their diversity, and I just enjoyed their whole journey toward changing into something good. I don't exactly know why, but Nina was the most likeable for me, I loved that she was a Grisha soldier, she represented woman power along with Inej who is just as special as her. Kaz is just amazing and even though he's a "bastard" he's really lovable. the other male characters are really different, each of them representing something else: Matthias- the soldier who realizes that he fought on the wrong side; Jesper- who is in a constant battle of who he wants to be; Wylan- who is seen as daddy's little boy until they realize he's not.
The plot is just as full of surprises as the characters are, filled with twists and turns and unexpected actions, it just keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
Even though I was a little skeptic about the whole book at first, I recommend it from the bottom of my heart because it's adventurous, different, interesting, fast-paced, and just everything you need from a book.

This book was my least favorite from the whole Shadowhunters universe, although it contained my favorite characters. The narrative was too focused on details such as how one looks and less focused on more important parts of the story. The Blackthorn family's members became solo fighters, each fighting their own demon instead of solving their problems together. I did not like the love-triangle that Mark, Kieran and Christina were put in, it was awkward and strange even for the other characters in the story. Although many things I did not like, I liked Julian and Emma's curse resolution, which was quite a drastic and fascinating one, and the wedding of Alec and Magnus, also the proposal of Clary in the bonus story.
All in all, it was a good closing book to the series, although it lacked several things that I have taken for granted in Cassandra Clare's books.
