Did not finish book. Stopped at 5%.
ableism. r slur sprinkled liberally. the way he writes about his Deaf mother. I looked at some other reviews from people who did make it through the whole book and realized it wasn't just a rough start; it would be the whole book. gave it up for my peace of mind.

really got me thinkin about how i view my own body and the bodies around me. how diet culture is so prominent and so destructive, and how im so glad ive dig myself out of it, hopefully forever. it's everywhere and so harmful to our youth, and this book brings out that aspect in a way that is real, suggestive, and daring. huge yes
