Fantasy at it’s best with a wonderful fmc who is as the author describes “bi-furious” and it’s the absolute perfect description for Aemyra.

The book has so much of Scotland in it and truly gave me a sense of the country I miss so much.

Even though I loved the characters I wished some of them were fleshed out a bit better, especially Adarian who falls a bit flat imo.

All in all a great read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Grief hits like a mf when it comes out of nowhere when so much life is happening at the same time and this book encapsulates it beautifully.

I absolutely flew through this books and genuinely enjoyed reading it. But it fell a but flat for me on some of the dead parent parts, I feel like that could’ve been done so much better and  more fleshed out than it was. I get that January was still very much grieving the loss but it felt like a subplot at times where it definitely isn’t supposed to be a subplot.

Also wanted more beach, how do you call this beach read and then barely have the beach in it?! (I know that’s kinda maybe the point but I still wanted more)

A little predictable but they way it’s written makes you surprised none the less about how and why everything went down.

Great read, now on to watch the show!

Overall I did enjoy this book but it felt really rushed by the way it’s structured. The constant switching of pov between matteo and rufus was really annoying at times but I did like what we got to know both of their minds.

The way the author talks about death differently through each pov feels very real but also like a disconnect. I also don’t know why they feel this need to push almost every pov into a love connection.

I don’t know if I would pick up the next book in the series but it’s definitely intriguing :)

Have been intrigued to read this since attending a reading on this book last year in Edinburgh and it did not disappoint me at all. The storytelling puts you right in Giulia’s mind and of the other characters as-well, and trully makes you try to understand them. The writing sometimes kept going to long but other than that I truly enjoyed this book!

Very interesting read ahead of the Weuro 2025!

Pretty nice read, loved the tropes thrown in. Did end kind of abruptly for me though felt like the ending was kinda rushed.

Great book on gender identity which took me way too long to read but whatever.
