Thank you for the opportunity to read eARC!

Butcher and Blackbird was a highly anticipated book for me, and I absolutely adored it. To be honest, I didn't expect to enjoy the story as much as I did. It was so good that I already want to read it again immediately after finishing!

Rowan Kane is my first book husband of the serial killer romance. Oh my goodness! He's charismatic, sarcastic, and incredibly handsome. I fell head over heels for him from the moment he appeared in chapter 1 – you'll understand why when you read it! Rowan is an exceptional character who also happens to be a badass serial killer. Despite his dark side, he's completely smitten with Sloane and goes out of his way to either annoy her or make her laugh. A man like Rowan is worth everything.

Sloane Sutherland is a fierce serial killer with strength, sexiness, bravery, and courage all wrapped up in one person. She battles anxiety but doesn't hesitate when it comes to eliminating other killers. Her closest companion is her best friend Lark whom she loves deeply and cares about immensely; therefore, trusting Rowan enough to let him past her defenses proves difficult for Sloane. She fears being unlovable and worries that others see her as nothing more than a monster. Slowly but surely, Sloane reveals both her light side and dark side to Rowan – yet he never backs away or rejects any part of her shattered self; instead he embraces every broken piece of who she is as his own!

The narrative unfolded was truly remarkable, particularly due to the gradual development of a romantic relationship between two strangers who eventually become friends and then lovers. They're on a annual competition. Personally, I found every aspect of this plot captivating - from the thrilling action that transpired to even accidental cannibalism which was my favourite scene. Basically I loved everything!!

If you love dirty talking and guy names Rowan, read this bad boy!

Small town with the delicious romance!

I absolutely adored and consumed this book in a single day, and wow, what an incredible narrative! Right from the prologue, I sensed that the story would be filled with intense emotions and heartache. The author skillfully portrayed the pain of losing loved ones, dealing with trauma, and yearning for a better life. The main characters, Torin and Maya, endured so much hardship throughout their lives. It was truly heartbreaking to witness their suffering and witness how they sacrificed everything to ensure the safety and protection of those they cared about.

Torin was haunted by the tragic loss of his wife and son in a devastating ocean storm five years ago. He carried immense guilt over their deaths which led him to isolate himself from others. He became an empty shell of a man who drowned in his own demons and past mistakes. However, when Maya unexpectedly stumbled upon his boat, Torin's numb emotions began to resurface as he developed obsessive feelings towards her while also feeling protective.

Maya had been fleeing from her abusive ex-fiancé along with her daughter when she found herself on Torin's boat. She longed for freedom from her painful past experiences as she desperately sought to build a new life for herself and her daughter Harper far away from her ex-lover's reach.
Maya experienced fear in opening her heart to others following the pain and heartbreak caused by her ex-partner, Trevor. She made an effort to avoid Torin, who initially appeared grumpy and broody. However, gradually, she found herself craving his presence as he became the person she needed most in her life.

The characters in the story are relatable and realistic, with their development being well-written. The slow progression of romance was handled skillfully, considering their past traumas. It beautifully blossomed between two individuals who were broken but finding solace in each other's company. The intimate moments were incredibly passionate and had a profound effect on me personally.

Torin's actions involving his mouth were particularly lasting *fans myself*. Despite initially coming across as an annoying jerk, he cared towards Maya and Harper. They complemented each other perfectly like a happy found family uniting together for support. The side characters added charm to the narrative by looking after Maya upon her arrival in their small town.

This book kept me engrossed from start to finish due to its fast-paced. I couldn't even take a momentary break without feeling compelled to continue reading.

I'm eagerly anticipating Everett's book, as I am intrigued by his mysterious nature and the inner turmoil he carries. His enigmatic presence draws me in, a desire to delve deeper into his story.

Can't deal with this shit!

The story starts after the events of The Coven, where Gray's motives and manipulations completely betrayed Willow. The main focus of the storyline revolves around their fractured romance, leaving Willow feeling hurt and unsure of who to trust.

She finds herself caught in a conflict between good and evil, resulting in several poor decisions that nearly cost her life. Fortunately, Gray is there by her side, offering his assistance and unwavering support. As the story unfolds, we witness Willow exploring her newfound abilities as a necromancer with the intention of rectifying past mistakes that occurred centuries ago.

Gray's POV on the spice was incredibly hot, and he knows how to melt his wife with his words. He is completely infatuated with Willow and fully committed to rekindling their love once more.

While I do feel that The Cursed could have been improved upon by avoiding a rushed ending and introducing new plotlines for secondary characters to enrich this duet series further, the intriguing conclusion has definitely piqued my interest in reading future installments.

Well, it was fun and good for the reading slump!

HOBAB was my first arc read of Alexis, and boy, what an astonishing tale of unexpected twists! The narrative unfolds with a gripping plot that revolves around uniquely crafted powers and an atmospheric setting. The vivid descriptions effortlessly transported me into the world created by the author.

The story is set in a post-industrial era, where Nicolai and Camilla find themselves as sworn enemies. Once allies and business partners, the Marchese-Attano families were torn apart by a deceitful incident, creating a deep chasm between them. Several years later, Camilla is faced with the dire need to marry into a powerful family to salvage her own company from bankruptcy. Just when all seemed lost, the Attano family presents a proposal that promises to save both her and her company. Unable to resist, Camilla agrees to marry Nicolai.

What initially started as hatred between Milla and Nico gradually transforms into love as they are forced to work closely together, uncovering the hidden secrets and mysteries that shroud their society. Whenever one of them is in danger, there is no hesitation in offering assistance. I found myself captivated by the found family trope and the thrilling action sequences.

The slow-burning romance eventually ignites, and the chemistry between the characters was undeniably sizzling. As I neared the ending, my mind went blank and had me wondering what on earth had just happened!

Even a month after completing it, I couldn't shake off thoughts of the characters. HOBAB seemed like a mere warm-up for book 2, barely delving into the depths of the mystery that lies beneath. I am eagerly looking forward to diving into the next installment!

For the fans of grishaverse and peaky blinders, this new upcoming series is for you! Also for the marriage of convenience, rivals to lovers, slow burn romance with rewarding spice, pick up this book right away!

Oh my godd...The ending hurts soo bad and I can't wrap my mind around it

I thank the author for an opportunity to read eARC and for including me in the street team!

I am eagerly anticipating this book, as it is a captivating enemies-to-lovers romance with a shifter twist. I thoroughly enjoyed and devoured it.

The story begins in a modern world, but suddenly, Cassandra and her sister find themselves transported back in time to a world that existed centuries ago. Cassandra is bewildered by this unexpected turn of events and struggles to understand why they have been sent to a place she only knows from history books. In the midst of her confusion, a brooding and grumpy character named Sèbastian comes to their rescue. Cassandra shares everything she knows about the situation with him, but he remains skeptical and takes them to the castle where she discovers a prophecy and a truth that shatters her entire world.

As war looms on the horizon, Cassandra and Seb do everything in their power to locate a pendant that will transport Cassandra back to her own world, in order to prevent the impending conflict. Despite their undeniable attraction, their interactions shift from witty banter to heated exchanges and hateful glances, all while hidden desires simmer beneath the surface. The accidental wolvyn bond they share poses a constant threat, as ancient powers come into play.

I absolutely adored this story. The author's skillful world-building, well-developed characters, gripping romance, and thrilling action kept me captivated throughout. I particularly loved the dynamic of the found family and the bond between sisters. The range of emotions I experienced while reading this book was akin to being caught in a whirlpool. I experienced a range of emotions while reading about the characters - from laughter to anger, from being captivated to shedding tears. The final chapters were filled with intense action and deep emotions, and although the ending was good. I'm eagerly anticipating the release of the sequel!

This captivating story has something for everyone who enjoys shape-shifting, enemies turned lovers, the concept of found family, time travel, slow-burning romance, thrilling action, and prophecies.
