The Puppet Show by M.W. Craven

Exactly what I wanted from a murder mystery! A great duo and solid twists and turns.
Happy Place by Emily Henry

Audiobook - I was on the fence about this initially (partly because of two of the voices) but during the wine cellar scene I got hooked. As a fellow claustrophobic boy and Mainer who also considers the state my happy place - this spoke to me in a lot of ways. Also, anytime someone wonders why I decided to leave clinical work I’m going to just tell them to read this book. Emily Henry captured exactly how I was feeling working in a clinic as a healthcare provider: bored, drained and missing out on the life that so many of my friends were living. It was cathartic to hear someone else figure out how to put their own happiness first.

I’m officially a Shallan fan. So much moody Kaladin :/ The combos of characters was so much fun in this one! Specifically any Shallan/Adolin/Kaladin and especially when those 3 were with Witt. This series is everything I enjoy about Fantasy.

Lift was my favorite character introduced in an interlude of Stormlight so far and it was a treat to spend more time with her and Windle. This didn’t pack quite as much of a punch as TWOK or WOR but I really enjoyed it and am gearing up for Oathbringer soon.
Intermezzo by Sally Rooney

You know when it feels like someone created something specifically for you? That’s how I felt about Intermezzo and I don’t think I’m alone in feeling that way about Rooney’s writing. She’s fantastic and I can’t get enough of her exploration of characters’ thoughts and feelings. I have a lot of feelings about this one but don’t really know how to put them into words so I’ll just say - please read this so I have more people to talk to about it lol
The God of the Woods by Liz Moore

There was a moment in the middle of this where I was worried it was about to start dragging and then I finished the book later that day. A quick read isn’t always a good read, but this one certainly was!

Will White might be the sadest boy there has ever been. I just want to tell everyone in this book that it’s okay to be happy. I’m a sucker for the “two people who don’t know how to communicate” trope, but there was a point where my breaking point was almost reached. That being said, I really enjoyed this and the voice actor was great!

I think this one might be my favorite Stormlight Archive book so far. I know that Sanderson has the reputation for some wild endings (and this one continues that) but there is a huge chunk in the middle of this book that could be my favorite section of any of his books I've read so far (give me any Kaladin, Shallan, Adolin time together and I'm a happy guy).
