I'm on the floor. It's WAY too good. I absolutely can't wait to read The Veiled Throne. I love the writing style. It makes the story sound like a real legend. All the characters are pieces of work, but they are so good. The pace is a bit slow at first, but the flashbacks really keep the momentum going when the current day is figuring itself out. I adore the creativity of this books and I'm looking forward to seeing what the gods have in store next.

Really not what i was exoecting. Timelines take a while to get used to but once you get used to them, it's told in a mostly straightforward nature. Didn't really like the characters, but their story was compelling enough.

Un long monologue. C'est intéressant, mais plutôt des réflexions tristes qu'autre chose.

Mom can you come pick me up? I'm scared...

Je blague! En tant que définition même de l'expression goody-two-shoes, c'est vraiment intéressant de lire à ce sujet. Certaines vignettes sont bonnes, d'autres moins, mais elles sont toutes tellement courtes que ça n'a pas d'importance.

I'll have to reread. The timing was atrocious. Way too complicated a read when you're just living and breathing your masters thesis.

Fantasy has had a few misses for me lately. This was so good. It starts slow, because the direction is a little unclear. But then, the direction becomes unclear at the halfway point and thats when it just blows you out of the water. It was way too good. Very plot focused, the author was really good at telling instead of showing in a fascinating way. I had reservations about how he wrote women (still do), but he makes up for a lot of it after the halfway point. VERY excited to see where this will go, because it could go anywhere.

Crying. It's simply too good. This is my third read-through. It feels like home.

The book ended up winning me over, but the male pov was really cringe. The ending was a bit abrupt and lame. The oscar marriage was a bit unbelievable... The fact that her job is one of the main factors keeping her from moving to Brussels with him, but all she does is whine about it ijbol. Highlight was the friendship between Laurie and Sarah.

They should add a mood called "vibey" because sometimes this book was vibey. Immediately want to reread the end took me by surprise. I'll let it sit a little, but will probably pick it up again next year. With a bookmark this time hopefully!
