I love Penny but I didn’t enjoy this Novella. It just didn’t grab my attention and I didn’t bother reading the epilogue so I guess dnf at 78% ? But I would consider it completed hehe. The writing was fine it just didn’t suck me in, probably because the characters couldn’t feel earnestly a lot of the time? Idk but I’m sad I didn’t like this

Good enough plot. Nice story overall. I also like how the heroine is tall and gets taller

This book did a really good job showing what it's like to try and defy the beauty standard. I saw a lot of the feelings that I feel when I don't wax or shave and the feeling of wanting to continue fitting the beauty standard because it makes your life a little bit easier.

I think Chandani and TJ's relationship was very nice to see and I'm glad in the end that they stuck together because C knows firsthand what it's like to feel pressure to be beautiful.

There was also a lot of representation in this book and it was refreshing that what made them a minority wasn't their whole personality and it was just one piece of the intricate puzzle that is their personality.

Nice, easy read.

The third act breakup was a bit of an overreaction imo but I'll allow it. The groveling was also well done.

Excited for Gavin and Violet's story.

Good book.

I like this author (I've only read the roommaid apart from this one) but it was a cute story.
Pink Is Not a Color by Lindsay Ward

I picked this up so I could get a kindle award but it was actually a cute read.

When pink finds out that she's not a colour in the rainbow this causes her to have an existential crisis and wonder if she IS in fact a colour.

Pink was very relatable to me, a 19 year old girl, because I too like to overanalyze things and suffer-- jk!

She made new friends along the way, learned about different types of colours, and even accepted herself even though she wasn't a rainbow colour and her friends were.

I think this is a sweet book for kids to show them that it's okay to be different from your friends. Her friends were also never mean to her because she wasn't a rainbow colour and they accepted her for who she was, it was really just up to pink to love herself :)

P.S. To all the scientists who think pink is not a colour, you are against happiness and we don't like you, 8/

The story was okay overall

Pros:
I liked the Scottish dialogue
I liked Reggie and the ghost (not in the story for long)
The romance was quite nice

Cons:
The climax/battle scene thing was too easy? It was just really short and I was expecting a bit more
I dislike the word "cunny"
At one point when they were kissing I believe she called him a Beast (he was furry) in her head and that gave me an ick

Solving the mystery was NOT a focal point imo, so if that's what grabbed you tis may not be the book for you. The plot otherwise was enough for me. I just really wish the climax was more climactic

I am interested in the continuation of the artifact adventure however, and I would absolutely love it if maybe reggie and the ghost had a story/one shot sumn sumn later on.
