i’m crying rn will. edit review later (4/17)
4/21 update: now that i have composed myself i'm ready to review this book LOL
literally my favorite book ever i sobbed so hard that i startled my fiancé
i listened to the audiobook while reading (and i wish i annotated but that just gives me a reason to re-read it) and i loved the pacing of the book, the characters were amazingly written and i'm glad we got to know the "side" characters a lot more than most books i've read. evelyn has my heart in the best and the worst way. as she said, she's not a good person, but i can't help myself from loving her anyway.
PLEASE READ THIS BOOK FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING

bro.. what the heck… i need the second book NOW
i loved this book very much and i haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since i finished it. the only thing i didn’t enjoy as much is how the ending came about; it seemed like the author was trying to throw in a cliff hanger and it just seemed very abrupt against the rest of the plot
but other than that, i adored it!!

it took me a while to finish this book because of how slow it was. the beginning was very nice and i loved how it started but the plot, to me, seemed very jumbled and all over the place. the characters were nicely written but i just wish we could’ve spent more time getting to know them.
overall, it was a good book and i’m very glad it involved several black characters but i didn’t enjoy it as much as i had wanted to. a younger reader might find it amazing and it would be awesome for a child of color to see someone of their skin tone on the cover!!

i loved this book but my brain was moving quite slowly with it especially with the beginning. i loved that “enemies” came together to save their shared home and i also loved the ending so much, amazing!!

i really liked this!! it definitely made me think about my previous relationship(s) and reflect on how much i have grown as an individual. for sure out of my comfort zone but i loved it. i just wish it would have dealt more with the healing process than it did but overall a good read!!

ok i loved this book so much
the diversity of characters, the lgbtqia+ romances (including some polyamorous too!!), the reflections on how it is to be a black woman in certain careers, ugh i could go on and on. this is a MASTERPIECE!!!
i really enjoyed the development of grace’s character (MC) and how she was able to acknowledge that her feelings are valid and how she is able to bring that into her day to day life and i just found the entire process of said development to be quite inspiring
again, absolutely loved this book and would for sure read it again in a heartbeat

this was so cute. i loved the romance between the main characters and i loved character development from darcy the most. 1.5/5 spicy-wise and that was also very cute. i loved that even though it was spicy scenes that it also had romance tied into those specific scenes as well. amazing

this was such a cute read. i loved the characters and i loved that there was actually a plot to follow—some romance doesn’t have that. i would probably rate it a 2/5 spice wise. loved the romance aspect and i love how it ended. had me crying several times throughout it because it was so wholesome.
