I don't know why I read this XD
It's not bad! Just not my cup of tea at all lol

It does have some nice world-building, and the characters strangely do have depth, which is nice to see.

The Vampire in the Bookstore by Elle M. Drew

I kinda wish... a lot of things about this book. I want answers lol

why is the 1000-year-old vampire called Declan?
why is Rosa named Rosamund?
How can one person be completely plain in every sense but also be a model ready to be painted?
why is the dialogue like a robot talking to its own reflection? so plain, no life and forced.

Good things about the book? I like Rosa's job and her love her knowledge of hand-stitched book covers.

Clearly not my cup of tea and this is my own opinion.

This book was pretty much pure nostalgia for me. So I feel I am very biased with this, lol.

It was 100% written too soon. It has aged so well, but because of the time it was written, it pulls back a little with the rating.

Loved the style, I enjoyed the detail and how this whole book had a vibe.

Pokémon Adventures (Red and Blue), Vol. 1 by Hidenori Kusaka

Growing up with Pokemon this had a very nostalgic feel.
What I didn't expect (even though I read manga in the past, and it has been a while). Is how much more violent it is.
So much swearing, pokemon were being killed or cut in half, and I got to see professor oak get pooped on by a Pidgey.

it had laughs and oh moments.

A very good manga that I will be continuing to read.

I really enjoyed reading this.
This is my first Junji Ito reading and I loved the freedom he had in these supposedly true stories.

The style is fantastic and holds onto the atmosphere and creep factor very well

I will for sure be buying kore of his work.
