Another fun and silly romp. I like Tiffany. It'll be interesting to see what she gets put through next :)

Once again, great story, shoddy publishing. I'm sure the first copy I read wasn't anywhere near as irritating. I think it would be fair to say there was a typo on every page, and the missing punctuation was TERRIBLE! Whatever happened to proofreading, or at least a quick run through spell-check??!!

I didn't like this one much, it felt a bit too unreal and somehow forced, like a grumpy old woman having a go at "modern" society. E.g. there was altogether too much repetition of the idea that mental illness is to blame for the world's ills, and that somehow it was never a problem in the past. Plus the whole absurd "sacrifice" sequence, I reject the idea that anyone would be that batty. Not one of her best, by a long shot.

I wonder why it was re-written? to update Nancy's vast wardrobe, perhaps? I've just taken a trip down memory lane, and I can see why I enjoyed these books so much as a kid. Good fun, danger and a hint of teenage glamour (and a little romance!)... pretty exciting for your average ten-year-old. No wonder I believe girls can do anything :)

What an unlikeable pair! They are both so odd I wasn't quite sure what to make of them. It was certainly an unpredictable story too.

I was frequently bored, and skimmed through some of the most irritating parts. I only finished it because I thought it might eventually go somewhere. It did take a few strange and potentially promising deviations, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I love the little post-script tacked on to the end several years later (but over 20 years ago) - we might not have ended up with a nuclear apocalypse but we are all still worried about the value of our money and where we're going to get our petrol from! Timeless stuff, eh!

I thought this was a great story, I felt educated after reading it and am keen on finding the companion book. The only complaint is about the clunky editing, it can be a bit confusing who is actually telling the story.
