" Didn't you tell me . . . that you wanted to become the number one ninja in your village and make everyone respect you? If you had someone in your life who did more than that . . . who acknowledged your existence - even cared for you --- Wouldn't that person become the most important . . . treasured person in your life?!" - Haku
Attention they give you goes a long way. Since day 1, Naruto has been wanting attention and acknowledgement from the people in his village. One great thing about this manga, is that you get to grow, even the littlest part of you.
Konohamaru for one idolize Naruto even though he sort of hated him in the beginning. ❤

"I lost myself the moment I found you."

Clichéd lines. I started this book and stopped and read 5 other books before I picked it up.
It was an annoying start and the last 50 pages were the only thing that convinced me to move on to book 2.
The MC is young and understandably annoying. I just could not connect to her and Zayne's relationship. They can't already be together cause he'll "die" from her kiss. But since, she did shift, would it be possible?
I love a good love triangle when it's actually good. But Zayne and Layla are bland together. Roth balances her boring character.
However, I've read FB&A and I did see some similarities of the guys' character - arrogant, funny, incredibly sexy and just pure fucking perfect that their little imperfection gets buried deep into the unknown. I sure hope this trend isn't in all her books as the main guy because I just bought loads of her books. It'd be a waste if it did.

" Those who can't gamble with their own fate. . . Who would trade today's certain risk for tomorrow's uncertain future. . . Never taking to chance that lies before them are weaklings who make only weak and easy decisions" - Morini Ibiki
I was imagining myself taking the first step, and I know I'd be Naruto till 5 mins before the 10th question. I would have written bull just to have something written on the paper.

When I read what this book is about, it excited me so I purchased it. When it got to me, it was thin and less than 300 pages. I thought maybe the font is small. In short, I was disappointed.
Karma got hit with the arrow, Danny wasn't and Aaryn has to fix it.
Simple.
But . . . it was found out a year after that Aaryn messed up. So he was given 90 days to fix it. 3 months.
And within those 3 months, 200 pages happened. So short. It just revolved around the characters of course. Aaryn trying to make Danny propose. But with most of his days there, he only tried once. He saw how big of an asshole Danny is and how undeserving he is of Karma. Then he just stopped trying till Tek showed up. Then, Phoebe appeared. Tek and Phoebe talked about the changes that happened after he left but was never really mentioned.
I wish her being a teenage mom was written more about than her dance. Like, I get the hardship of doing assignments and such. But, how about the worries of the diapers, formula milk, clothes?
Ughhhhhh.........
Whatever, moving on.
It was revealed in the end that Psyche, Aaryn's mom, broke the spell of the arrow. And Karma did question her feelings for Danny but she bounced right back to him. I keep using the arrow's excuse for that but damn the emotional damage she carries.
So what happened to Eros after? And the gods? Will they stop using arrows then since its purpose is deemed breakable?
Tek? Eros? Zeus? Tell me, please. And Psyche just never appeared even when Aaryn found out her truth? What happened to Phoebe? I mean even Eros didn't know about the chip Aaryn took.
Aaahhh! *frustration* Nice attempt, but no.
I feel like Aaryn could have done more when he saw how Danny treated Karma. This really should have been a longer book. To explain how the gods are involved.
It was a predictable ending without much explanation how Aaryn just went to earth after. I wish there was a prologue that shortly explains what their life is now.
I honestly don't know how to feel about this book. There's just so much I want to happen that could have made the Karma-Aaryn love story more loveable.

I love the first challenge more than this because bigger enemies came out rather than the contestants fighting amongst themselves. Still a great read, though. ❤
