Honestly i only have one note and that is that this book was meant for print and i wish i had read it that way as opposed to ebook!

The prose is so good. It feels edible. And i loved the way it is told. 2nd person just really scratches an itch for me.

The characters were very vivid and i loved that it didnt over rely on dracula for it's plotline.

Honestly the shadowy figure made this book for me. I liked the way all threads lead back to them.

Unfortunately i dont think it lived up to the premise. Like it was fun dont get me wrong, but the characters really feel flat, and the Ebook is not formatted particularly well.

The pitch was whimsical but thw execution lacks that wonder

This is a fun, fast read.

Can't help but love the cast and found the plot zipped along. Will most likely read on in the series because i really wanted more murderbot personal life and humor lol.

But a *lot* of people recced it to me and i think the hype is a bit much.

I really appreciated the writing style and the slow rambling way the author led us through the city and the story.

I found the murder that centers a large part of the story incidental to me. I liked to read the book a chapter at a time, just little vignettes.

I liked this one! Not an out of the park hit but i enjoyed both romantic characters and i loved the heroine's little sister.

I can see why the series is so popular! I might continue the series in the future.

This book almost lost me once or twice, but the unique plot and the laughs kept bringing me back.

I dont always like funny books but this on tickled me. Reminded me of she-hulk or drop dead diva. Would make a great light fantasy law show.

Honestly i usually dislike mafia romances but this was reccomended as 'mafia for those who dint read mafia' and honestly the list was right on the money because i thought this was pretty decent!

The spicy scenes left something to be desired in the titillation department but they really moved the plot and i appreciated the way everyyhing worked in seamlessly and seemed to serve a purpose.

I think the setting really helped!

im a sucker for a well foreshadowed conclusion.

This series really grabbed me and im glad to have finished it. I read the last three in rapid succession. This concousion pulls in so much from the middle two books. Set up perfectly for the emotional finale.

So close to a five. If two scenes had gone just a little differently it would have been.

Read this book so quick!

Another hit for me!

Outside of the fact that i thought the language seemed really anachronistic to setting at times i really have no complaints and i think the final book is set up perfectly.

Again very different main couple! Though more in common with pestilence than war i think.

Wish famine had done less plant growing and more famine stuff though.

Honestly i was worried about continuing with this series despite the first book being a surprise hit for me. They are really quite dark in tone and frankly the stramy scebes in book one were really bad.

I am happy to be proven wrong! I would say this book is significantly better than the first in many ways. It has a bit of a slower start but the meat of the story is really hard hitting.

Im pleasantly surpfised by how different the mmc are. They could easily be clones and instead the author develops them really well.
