This one is entirely on me.
How do I manage to pick up books with almost no plot when I know they aren't doing it for me?

At the 50% mark this book switches from Mean Girls to wannabe Stephen King.

And honestly...wtf??

It makes you ask so many questions that are never answered and in the end you're like...am I just stupid or did this not make any sense?

I'd categorise this as an open ending, but i'd rather call it unfinished.

In my mind I could try to piece the stuff together...but it's not my job. After all I'm not the writer.

It felt like it had potential, but at this point I really can't see the difference between the actual book and ✨️my imagination✨️

Edit: I already disagree with my past self. I don't think this book is about love. I think the internet had a mutual psychosis and I blame Jack Edwards for starting it. =))

This book is about obsession...
Still 3 stars.

Old Review:

This book is for a hopeless romantic and for an eternal optimist and I ,unfortunately, am not that person.

If you love "love" for the sake of it, I can see how this book could ravish you. If you like the complexity, the uniqueness and the individuality, I'd say this is not really it.

As short as it is, it has its twists and turns that might surprise you, more or less. I think it's more interesting for me to imagine how other people would react or how my future self would react, knowing that my particular set of quirks will evolve.
